As another newbie, I'd like it. I don't feel quite qualified to put my stuff in the regular gallery yet, but would still like to get it out there.

...Or, if you have Painter, there are some excellent nozzles you can download at my site and at Gruhn's Painter Tools. http://home.earthlink.net/~inkwolf/nozzles.html http://www.hwb.com/gruhn/paint/tools/tools.html I think the coals need a bit more "glow." Maybe increase the ambiance...and the areas between the coals could use more light/dark contrast. But it's a very cool picture, I like your people and your subject matter and composition!

Looks cool! :) Maybe a little stark....you could add a rawhide strip wrapped around the grip a couple of times, maybe with a scalp dangling from it...since you asked. A cool scabbard is also called for. :P

What, no beastie in the loch?! :P It looks very good! I'd agree about the battlements needing something....maybe you could find a way to round off the corners, so they look more weathered? I don't think they're too regular exactly, but all the edges are sharp, as if the stone was just cut, and even the broken parts are sharp-edged as if they were just cracked off recently. Time and weather should have softened it more. Otherwise, terrific pic!
Thread: IRC chat? | Forum: Community Center
Ummm, never heard of Dling...most PC users I know use Mirc, which I think is at www.mirc.com, and most of the Mac users I know use Ircle...www.ircle.com

How about a Miscellaneous Free Stuff section, for things that don't fit your other categories? For example, patterns and papers for 2D apps, and stuff for other programs that don't have their own Free Stuff section.

I have Bryce on a Mac and rendered my first animation today--I have only 96mb RAM and had no trouble...is your animation extremely complex? A lot of transparencies, maybe? Sounds like a PC-type error to me, actually--how much RAM do you have allotted to the program itself? Actually, after all this time since the original post, I sorta doubt we'll hear any answers...

I see what you mean about spooky. That dark area to the right is unsettling...especially when you realize you can see stars further down than you should be able to! Over the Edge, indeed--excellent picture! It really speaks.
