Hello, On a PC I think you hold down the alt key and click on the dots to delete them. Serpent
Thread: I'm Frustrated (OT) | Forum: Bryce
Hello, Look in your Device Manager and see if the video board is listed as a device in your system. It's under the system icon in your control panel. It should be listed under display adapters and this will show irq conflicts. Here is a link to some drivers. Good Luck. Nitro Serpent
Thread: Can someone tell me their preferences?? What desktop do you prefer...? | Forum: Photoshop
Hello, PC's can have dual monitors as well. Win98 supports this and NT does also. You have to have two video cards installed correctly or if you have a AGP port there are some new cards coming out that have dual head outputs. The Matrox G400 is one example. Serpent
Thread: Bugging you about RAM again.....??? How to get the most Ram for your use?? | Forum: Photoshop
Hello, Yes turning off screensavers and backgrounds will help to free up some memory on a Windows system. Also the number of fonts loaded in Windows can have a big impact on free memory. Font manager progs are available to help with this problem. Unfortunatly a less number of shortcut icons on the desktop will also help a little. Turn off anti-virus and other programs, such as Video Shell programs, to improve performance. You can always turn them back on later for use. Every little bit helps. You must reboot to take advantage of turning these off. Serpent
Thread: Saving an image........as what....??? Preferences?? | Forum: Photoshop
Hello, I always save my projects in the native .psd photoshop document format. This is always helpfull in the future for editing, it saves the layers and channels. If I want to output a image I use the Save a Copy option and then convert it to whatever format I want. Tiff is good if you need to have channel info inside your file, Tiff can compress the alpha channels. Another advantage for Tiff is that it travels from Mac to PC rather well. JPG is good for web images, I always flatten the image and delete alpha channels that the JPG will not need before Save a Copy. The only time I convert to Gif is when I need a transparent color on the image or want to animate the Gif. Saving as Gif turns the mode into Indexed color that only has 256 colors so this is a given. If your file has a lot of one color, like say a high percent of blue, select the majority of the blue before you convert to Indexed color. This will force the new 256 pallet to use the blue as the major shades. Then you could save to Gif. I sometimes get better results this way. Serpent
Thread: Am I dumb? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hello, I don't think you are dumb. UV Mapper is a very powerful program that can do very good things. Like every great 3D tool it takes a little time and trials to learn. I would suggest going to Steve Cox's site and going through his tutorials. They are great. I used it to re-map the Raptor model. Good luck. Serpent
Thread: Raptor Texture & Bump | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yes Eric the Raptor is modified. The UV mapping is different and requires the new raptor2.obj that I encoded into a pcf file via Objaction Mover. This texture and bump is not for the regular raptor. It only works on this new version: raptor2.obj Serpent

Thread: Depth of field/Bryce with PSP | Forum: Bryce
Hello, I think that the manual is suggesting to apply the Gauz Blur in Photoshop to the Alpha Channel only. I know that Photoshop can apply filters to individual channels. Like for example you can run a filter on just the red channel alone. You need to blur the depth mask in it's own Alpha Channel. I'm not sure if PS Pro has this ability but I believe it does. Sorry if this is no help. Serpent

Thread: Walk Paths & Walk Designer Problems | Forum: Animation
Hello, This is just a wild guess but you might need the poser3 stickman model installed. I think the Poser3 walks are generated off the P3 stickman. There might be a P3 file of the walking animation also missing. These are the only things I know to check for this problem. Serpent
