Hmm..like someone said..Windows is like tamagotchi. You must take care of it to survive :o)
Anyway, after many crashes and painful reinstallations I began use Norton ghost. I have image of stable working system with a few most used apps and if something goes wrong (which is normal after my experiments) I recover whole partition from this image. 10 minutes work.
You should try it. Very very good thing.

I think that menu is expanding too slow (but thats only my opinion)

Well, I dont think that number of materials has something to do with speed of Vue. Im working on a scene with 126 (!!!)materials and Vue is stable and fast ( OK, as fast as possible on Duron 900 LOL).
Anyway, I think, it depends of type of materials, because in the beginning, materials were only basic with different colors, but now, when I changed about 60 mats to glass, speed goes extremely down.
