Thread: Poser Pro 2012 Memory allocation for executable | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Libraries are EMBEDDED. Yes I would expect the 213MB like you are seeing as well but it consistently boots up now with 310Mg + with NOTHING in the scene. It's got a hold of something. I just don't know what. I am pretty sure an uninstall / reinstall will correct it. But, I wish I didn't have to do that.

Yes doing the CLOTH room thing fixes the problem. This is a Wardrobe Wizard resulting file I think from Jesse - converted to fit ol' Syd.

It's called a "summer dress" and I think I got this off of PoserWorld a while back. i had it in my library.

pretty nice! What app did you use to create the model? Blender?

I did that already. And then I went to the texture cache and cleared that too. An empty scene still opens up with over 300 meg allocated to the poser executable. I am considering a re-install. I just don't think that is right.

I would agree that shutting down Poser and rebooting it should get the memory back to what I would think would be more reasonable as you say. But that is not working. It's like there are cached files somewhere that I cannot clear. Not sure where to look for this

This is all helpful. It may be the Realskinshaders that I added to the figures in the scene. Lots of nodes etc. That would require more memory? I suspect so.
Anyway, based upon the last comment - the fact that an empty scene boots up and is allocated 300 MG - doesn't seem unreasonable - although I swear I remember it being lower. I did change the UNDO levels.
The scene that before would boot up at around 700 mg is now at 3.5 GIG due to 7 figures each with mulitple shader nodes now whereas before for example the faceroom skin only had one or two - now it has a dozen or so. Funny thing is that the render is not all that slower but the memory allocated is pretty high now.

Thanks everyone. It would seem though to me that the results should be consistent. When I grab the thigh and do a side to side - the dress goes with it.
PhilC - in the first image I am moving the thigh side to side using the dial. See that it is hilighted in RED.
The second image shows you what happens when the BVH is imported and you advance through the animation. The leg just poke right through ignoring the dress altoghether.
When I import a BVH - the dress doesn't move. What is the difference? The thigh is still translated as a result of the import but nevertheless it doesn't seem to work with the dress.

8 Gig RAM which should be plenty for what I am doing. But what I can't figure out is why a scene with NOTHING in it gets over 300 meg alllocated to the executable. If this is correct then it must be the textures I have added. I would like to know what other see when they boot Poser up with nothing in it.
I have the 3.2 update for PP 2012. It's installed.

I'm using Poser Pro 2012. IT seems strange that when you translate the thigh or buttock that the dress moves with them regardless of how far you translate. The BVH is not putting any extreme bends on this at all but the dress igrnores the bend/side-to-side. Conforming pants don't have this problem.

I know that I can do a workaround by converting the Conforming to an OBJECT and then to Dynamic. I really don't want to do that. I just need the dress to move along with the legs like conforming pants. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

Thread: WW Adjustment morphs stopped working after changing OBJ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
So, when running the wardrobe wizard on a P4 shirt I am asking for FBMs to be added to the converted shirt for the P7 figure. But they aren't there. The adjustment morphs are - but the full body morphs - endomorph, ectomorph, etc. are not. Is this the way it is supposed to work?

Thread: Putting a P5 DON head on a P7 Simon figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Interesting. What I did do is parent the P5 neck to the P7 neck. So now I have a P7 body with the P5 head. Of course I am making the P5 body invisible. And because he's wearing a turtleneck - it covers up the seams but I matched them pretty well and you can't tell.
The reason I did this was I wanted to have a more pear shaped body with the FBMs available with Simon. They aren't there for P5 Don.
This is for an animation so as I import BVH files in they will be applied to the Simon body. A lot or trouble in a way but I wish there were a more seamless way of doing this with the CR2 file. That would be nice.

Darn it. I have Poser Pro 2012. That Tighten option is available until Poser 10 - the next release after this one.
Any other ideas on getting a P5 morph onto a P7 Simon?
