Let your window open Wolfsnap, and feed these birds every day. Some fresh water in summer will attract them to. After some time, they won't fear you anymore (you see some birds living in supermarkets...) Then you'll make great photos.
Thread: Last Week in the Gallery [02/21/04] Large 224K!! | Forum: Photography
224K is not so big, and the idea is a great one. I fear that from now you'll have to do the same every week...

Pfffff... it's easy when you don't have a dog who barks all dday long... I like your pics, especially the first one.
Thread: Second entry for February challenge | Forum: Photography
You can do up to five entries, and the pictures have to be done during the month of the challenge (but this rule is quite softly applied) Puting the entry in you gallery then adding URL and Thumbnail to your post in the forum seems to me the easiest way to do an entry, but you can post the picture in the forum and reply to yourself to join the thumbnail with a second message. I hope I helped you. It took me sometime to understand all that... Bye

But what do they think about their own work, they who made this photo that you love so much ? I don't think they would say it's perfect... But it's only my point of view (and I agree with it ;-) )
Thread: Voting | Forum: Photography
Hello, @ enax : [I saw many photos that are pure perfection] What's the point of view of the person who made the photo ? I mean : every one does it's best, but you can't improve yourself if you're convinced that this best is perfection. In fact, I'm sure that life would be quite boring if everything was perfect : all the fun comes from dealing (succesfully) with problems, and running (hopelessly) after perfection. That "hopelessly" makes us enjoy.

There are many answers here, bur I will say my word. I never allow ranking on my photograph, because I don't think such a thing could be "numbered" When looking at a picture, I usually rank it, never "excellent" because I think it doesn't exist (except in some Mile Davis records) and often great because if I go to see the picture, it's that the thumbnail looked good to me. So I rarely follow the link to a picture that disapoint me... However, I think it can be useful to "level" such work as a picture or a painting. If we come to show some here, it's a way to ask : do you think it's valuable ? Does it move someone ? Did I succeed in making you feel this or that ? How to make it better next time (@ Michelle : every photo "needs improvement") ? Hope I made the schmilblick going on.

The accident with your camera is not necessarily a bad think. This photo as a very beautiful ambiance. "A quelques choses malheur est bon" comme on dit par cheu nous.
Thread: Getting a puppy!! | Forum: Photography
If I had been you I would have aken all the little family... hard to resist ! Michelle is right : pupps grow up quite quickly, but it's not a problem. An older dog is very cool to (and much cleaner...) I like your photos of these little monsters. Bye

I think the burgondry was more destructive than the food, and even a cheese sandwich or a breath of fresh air can become a royal meal with a bottle of Santenay...
Thread: January Challenge....... What Will It Be? | Forum: Photography
Self portrait seems to me a good idea with that very bad weather. No need to go out in order to catch a subject and catch a cold instead.
