If the Texture just looks side-ways on the model you have to rotate it in the material lab. That happens too.

You have to load the transparency maps from Poser onto the model in Bryce sometimes. Select the "ballgown in Bryce and go to the material lab. Paste the transparency map for the Harem outfit from where-ever poser kept it into the center box of the dress material. Works for me.

To me, All good art has the ability to draw the viewer into the emotions and viewpoint of the artist. Art lets the artist share ideas and feelings that words alone cannot express. I have seen many images the were done by beginers with low skill levels that have this quality. I have also seen many pieces that are technically perfect but fail to stir the soul in any way. Which is art? If an artist can make their viewers share that experiance, the work is a sucess. Most of us create art because we have something to share not because we hope for some commercial gain. The sharing is the important thing. This is the reason Renderosity is such a great place. It is a place were people share and artists can grow. The skill can be learned. Art is the mirror of the soul.

Now that I am straight... Thanks Stefano for a great challenge idea! Bryce trees will never be the same on this forum again. Mine sure won't be.

This looks pretty good Stefano. Everytime I think I would change something I look back at the photo. I think you have it nailed. An Excellent job! I sure would like to see some screen-shots of the tree's wireframe.
The only think I could think of is maybe a filmgrain as postwork, but maybe not.

This is coming along nicely. I agree with the mist suggestion, It would put that cold feeling in the air.

I sent an email to Corel when they dropped Bryce support for the Mac. One of the the managers did call me on the phone to speak about it. The bottom line... We are hosed. They have no intention of doing any further work on Bryce at all. The company is bleeding money so fast they are in panic mode. Our best hope is that they sell the license to someone who will pick up developement. For those who are interested in having an actual person spew their idiocy, you can call them at 1-800-772-6735. There is an option to request a call back. I don't think it will do much good though.
