Great image so far, my favorite part is the chunks of concrete chipped out of the floor and ceiling. Is the red mesh wall a texture with transparencies? memaci

This may be off base but have you simply tried to wrap a tif file of the texture map in the color channel using cylinder mapping? memaci

You can import Illustrator files into the spline modeler directly. When you are in the model room go to the file menu and select import. Find the Illustrator file you want and a profile should be in the spline model room. The same process may work for the vertex modeller but I never used it. One note, I've only had success importing illustrator files that are no higher than 7.0 good luck memaci

It looks like that software will have a lot of possiblities. I haven't used it but I will download the demo (still using OS 9). It seems very impressive and a great companion to Carrara. But at $269 it may be a bit pricey if someone is going to use it strictly for texture building. memaci

Sure those cows go out to the glitz and glam of southern CA thinking they'll make it big in hollywood like their heroes, Elsie, the South Park Cows and the Hershey's Cow. But sadly, more often than not you can see them homeless, languishing on the sides of the road doing anything for that next hit of Bovine Growth Hormone or worse yet just giving up and becoming yet another tasty menu item at McDonald's. How do you keep them down on the farm when they have seen the bright lights of the big city. It is an udderly depressing story. memaci

Thread: Animating a shader's Texture Map | Forum: Carrara
I just read that part over in the manual while looking up some other info. If I remember correctly you only need one shader, but you will have to change it in the timeline where you want Image B to start. I'm not 100%, velarde could be right. memaci

Thread: new tutorial : about labels | Forum: Carrara
Very cool indeed litst. I was just working on a project like this today, shoulda' checked this forum before I started. I was working on a clear plastic container and my label became somewhat transparent. Can that issue be resolved or do I have to make a seperate label? memaci

Thanks for the link Dex, I am a Mac person though. I thought about iMovie when it first came out but never had a real good reason to explore that option, until now. memaci
