@ JuliasS-J - Very glad to see that you posted these remarkable bridge captures to the forum challenge as well as your gallery!
I can heartily recommend that members pay a visit there to take a look at these full sized!
@ makron - Superb work on your bridge uploads! Fascinating work!

@ myrrhluz - great bridge captures and both so very different. Is the New York bridge a floating one of some sort or does part of it swing out to let boats past?
@ Tara - beautiful green bridge and love your composition! The flowers in the foreground work so well as they lead the eye into the pic.
@ Clive - lovely night shot of this illuminated bridge!
has anyone when commenting on images in the gallery, whilst writing "great shot" hit the "i" key instead of the"o" (which are right next to each other) by accident??? Very emarrassing if you dont realise in time!!! lol

Thank you Carin and Priska for your kind words.
The arched bridge was originally a viaduct - a bridge carrying another railway across the river and foreground tracks. The viaduct has been disused now for many years but has been made into a footpath and cycle route that can be followed for miles, safely away from busy traffic. The railtracks in the foreground are still in use.

Maybe it's one of those things that you can come back to when you do eventually get the time again to commit to modding Kort.
Anyway, thanks for all the years of hard work given to R'osity - I'll look forward to seeing you around the galleries my friend!

I used a wide angled lens for this capture, as well as a polariser and a tripod.
Camera settings:
Aperature - F25
Exposure - 30 seconds
ISO - 100
I've also posted this into my gallery. To view it full sized please click on the link here www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1977888§ion_id=8&genre_id=&np

PJ - you can get the focus with the lights on and then filck the auto-focus over to manual - it will then be already set up then to just press the shutter

Wow! Some superb uploads already!
Remember that if you shoot in RAW you can always change the white balance in editing just in case you select the wrong lighting or (as I usually do) forget to adjust the WB. A tripod is going to be very useful for this challenge and, as Bruce says above, you can pick up quite good and cheaply priced tripods these days - a great way to get used to using a tripod!
I'll be looking forward to going out and shooting for this challenge as well as seeing lots more fantastic upoads here!!!

I really like the perspective in Bruce's last upload and the silhouetted person adds extra interest - just as the coins do in Tara's last upload and I love the array of greenery in that shot! Both are superb, remarkably different and a pleasure to view! Very well seen and captured!
