I agree. I think one should work in what they feel comfortable doing, and if you master both, that doubles your creative opportunity and output.

I dunno Tom....this is pretty damn good. I'm thinking texture out those walls and leave the ceiling white and you might have something here. Just my humble opinion though. Doorway may need to be a shade higher in contrast to the figures.
Thread: Just when you think you're getting that special crappy deal.... | Forum: Bryce
I'd have to agree that Vue does nice skies and pretty good volumetrics, but, Bryce seems to be alot easier to use and achieve fairly quick results. I have Vue 4, and every now and then am tempted to give it a chance, but, I'm just to damn faithful to Bryce. Let's just hope that DAZ listens to all the faithful and makes Bryce better than Vue, World Builder and Terragen combined, and keep it affordable so that people of all skills can pick it up.
Thread: Looking for a Model... | Forum: Bryce
Try www.meshfactory.com . The individual models are expensive, but you can join for like $159 for a year, DL all the models and get any new ones as well. There are something like 300+ models in various categories. Tons of great modern jet figters as well. Marv and Co. do an excellent job and the mods are available in multiple formats with maps. It's a great investment.

Yeah, they do have nice models. Too bad they lifted most of them from DeEspona Infografica. The update here is, they're trying to deny it was them doing it, I'm leaving it up to the friendly investigators and bankers that I've contacted.
Thread: Help I need a Harrier modelled | Forum: 3D Modeling
You can get a model of a Harrier from the Mesh Factory. www.meshfactory.com I know allengraph, myself and several others use their models. However, I'm not sure Poser formats are available. They generally have 3 formats to pick from. .3ds, .max, and .lws.

To all who tried to fix this problem, a big thanks. If for anything, it was a great learning experience this weekend working for the first time in Vue D' Esprit. Old habits die hard(Bryce), but when you just feel the urge to work with a great model, sometimes you gotta just bite the bullet and work in a new program. Vue shows promise, and seems to handle the models that Bryce can't, so for all of us die-hard Bryce fans, let's hope they continue to work on keeping it a great program as well. Thanks again- Todd aka:tempest967

that would be a great idea if I had 3D Studio Max. Unfortunately, I'm just a poor boy with ambition...8>P
