I personally don't mind political posts, but I'm kind of burned out on politics these days, so when I see them I keep rolling.

As long as Poser buildings & props work in Carrara, I'll be fine.

Whenever I have a choice between a Daz version & Poser version of an item, I always go with Poser. I'm rarely disappointed.

Yeah, you're right about that. I barely go to the homefront because I got tired of my posts coming down.

I pretty much only go in the forums when I need something or when something is wrong with a sale or the site.

A lot of Carrara users appreciate the Poser content as well. Since Carrara doesn't support Iray, it's nice to be able to get items that don't require it.

I had the same thought. I really believed Daz would keep developing Carrara, all the way up till Gen 8 hit. Then I knew it was over.

Luckily, there are tons of items for Gen 1-6 available, with new items STILL coming out for Gen 4. Add to that a lot of the DUF props work in C8.5, I'm going to use Carrara for. LONG time.

Hi Misty No, I don't think Vicky 4 has lost her status. I see renders of her (or characters using her as a base) in Poser & Carrara renders.

In my animation work, I use Carrara exclusively & Vicky 4 is the star with support from V3 & V2 as extras.

I'm grateful to everyone who supports Poser because I can use that stuff in Carrara 7Pro.

I recently got a new tower and finally used my upgrade to C8.5 Pro, so now I can use DUF format items and Genesis 1 & 2.

I wished Daz would spend more energy building their product line by pushing the existing tech to the limit BEFORE switching to a new character. V4 to this day, still has vendors that are making more and more realistic looking morphs for her (look at the Immortal Twins' Kim K). I look at Genesis 2 and think how long they could have built that platform out. They really didn't push it anywhere.

I get shouted down often when I voice that opinion.

I stick my head into both, but have been too busy really lately.

I like the atmosphere over here.

It seems like a person doesn't have to sing the companies praises and can have a dissenting opinion from time to time without getting posts deleted or being shouted down.

Glad to see you're still alive and kicking.

I FINALLY got a new tower (well, new to me anyway) and can run DS 4.9, C8.5 Pro, etc.

It was frustrating, but I finally got DS 4.9 loaded and can finally find my content!

I think it is absolutely absurd that a user has to come up with a way for customers to be able to use Genesis 3 & 8! (No offense to Misty) Daz has far more resources than she has and they could have done it much sooner and with less headache. They should cut her a bloody big cheque for all her trouble!

Stan is the expert on what works and and what is broken. Search for some of his posts because he gave us detailed info into the topic. (sorry I am not able to search it out for you).busy.
