Pascale, I had looked into this before and learned I had to also purchase a conversion lens. After much debate and discussion with Eric (prior owner of this camera) I decided not to buy one. As I understand, the camera was not originally designed for use with a tele. Good luck and if you find a match that works well, let me know. Jackie

Hey, I used to work at a Red Lobster. Hangovers were the norm. We used to go drink at a Black Angus after work and they would come to see us when they got off. It is a hard job. You go girl!

Thread: WHY Photography? | Forum: Photography
When I was a child I sat in my fathers garage darkroom and watched him for hours as he developed his photos. I was as eager as he was to see the outcome. I have no ability to paint nor draw but I am learning to share what I find beautiful, frightning, educational and comforting through photography. At this point, the only post work I know how to do is cropping, very little lighting and a bit of softening around the edges. I'm torn as to whether I should learn Photoshop or try to keep things a bit more traditional as I was taught. I'm trying my hand at everything, macro, animals, landscapes and people. I want to share the "other" Nevada with the world and Renderosity has provided that opportunity. Thanks for asking! Jackie

This is why I live here and my poor husband works in LA. Our home is in the North East corner of Nevada. Idaho to our north and Utah to our east. Closest town is Elko, off of Highway 80 about 3 hours west of Salt Lake City. The mountains are called the Ruby Mountains and really are fantastic. It's high desert and fairly arid. Lots of Aspen in the mountains and really pretty in the fall. We lived in Vegas for about a year, that was a nightmare. When we go visit my husband all the people and the noise make me crazy. This is a pretty good place to raise my son. Okay- that was way more than you asked for! Have a great week! J

Tom, I think this is very cool. I could see it as a book cover (I read too much horror!).

Being a bit of a bug chaser myself, I have to say I like this entry best of your submissions for the monthly challenge. It's a beautiful beetle. Tom is right, there is no substitute for nature!

OMG- he has no head... Just kidding. I like that lighting and I love geese. I had to look up DOF because someone wrote that on a photo of mine and of course, being photo-illiterate I was pretty confused by being told I had a nice "DOF". So now that I know what it is, I agree with Randy. As for being centered, animals don't always cooperate as we wish they would. Nice Goose! J
