Wonderful work of art, Comp, lighting, textures. Warms the soul. I see what big hoove means about the light. there seems to be a straight line of shadow/light not coming from the candle or from behind the goblet. Still leaves mine in the dust, I love learning from all of you. Thanks for your Expressions. Beautiful work Erlik. Rod

Beautiful for a first one up. It took me a few minutes looking at it, and then it struck me. For the perspective and distance you're trying to portray, I would work with the texture size of the water. The large texture size makes the ship look closer, but it's size says it's fairly distant. Try different sizes and twists on the texture(mainly just the bump height), but remember to save the the original one into a safe folder. Good Luck, Hope this helps.

I've tried eliminating one object at a time and saving the file as another name, starting the render, to try and find the culprit. I also ran into the gel light bug in bryce. You save the file, exit and return with your sphere light with "gel on". That'll slow it down some too. Good luck
