Thread: Victoria | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Vicky 2 also comes with Vicky P4 which allows Vicky to wear the Poser 4 clothes. The only catch is you don't get all the great body morphs that Vicky 2 has... While there is great free stuff for Vicky/Vicky 2, mi-scha is right in the fact that you will wind up buying stuff for Vicky more often then P4... Keep in mind, there is also Eve and Destiny (who are free and come with lots of morphs). Also Morph Woman 3 for P4 is a good buy and can make Posette (P4) seem much more workable...

I would, but it's not a texture exactly. Was re-texturing using the Bryce material Lab and used many different individual textures and settings...Thanks for the compliments...

It makes for a great backdrop for a scary cemetary or scene as well, like the one in the link I did...Thanks much sams3d.. I plan to use it some other scenes as well...Thread: freestuff restrictions ....aaarrrghh...admins take note | Forum: Community Center

Also, is it possible to add page numbers to the free stuff area like the galleries? Once in awhile you want to get back to a page (or close to it, since they move constantly) and it would be great to do that without having to hit Next 150 times to get back to the center of the free stuff area. Just a thought.

Sorry I can't help you on the question, but got to say that that animation (even without the webs) is fantastic. His motion is so natural...
Thread: advices in creating underwater art | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First of all, great job so far. The collection of fish and the diver and how they're posed are fantastic. It's like something out of a diving magazine. As someone mentioned, you may want to put a gel on the lighting from above to give it more of that eerie water look. You can find that gel for Bryce here: http://www.halcyon.com/alrives/brycetips/masters/underwater/main.html This site also has some nifty tips and tutorials on how to do underwater scenes, though with the exception of the lighting gel, you seem to have that down pretty good. My only other suggestion was really a question concerning the depth, which would indicate about 10 feet. Was this what you were going for? If not, perhaps no floor would be better to give that indication of depth. If so, then a rocky surface, like a terrain might help offset the clarity of the shadows. Using softer shadows can also give that sense of depth as well. Bryce 5 has softer shadows in the light editor (as well as the sky editor)... Hope this helps...

I posted another example of Pepper's Ghost if anyone wants another, more complete example...Thread: Is it possible to make see through characters? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is indeed interesting and does solve some of the inherent Poser problems shadownet, though using it in a multi-character scene may be a bit cumbersome since transmaps would have to be made for various parts and clothes that don't fit over the entire body part to offset the glass effect. The obvious advantage though is once that map is made you can put the character anywhere you like in the scene without worrying about it too much... Eyes could be transmapped probably as well to get rid of the eyeball part of the eye and only keep the front that the camera sees. Also depending on the transparency level, the head would also have to be hidden since it also reflects the scalp through the hair at certain degrees of transparency. Thanks for sharing shadownet. It's a pretty good solution for one or two character scenes. For larger more populated scenes or scenes that don't lend themselves well to transparency, I'd still probably recommend the Pepper's in Bryce or the post in Photoshop just because of the complexity of the maps.
Thread: Bryce Vs. Poser.........anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just for info, the Bryce 5 demo has a much slower renderer than the real program...Now that I tweaked the settings, the real one is probably about as fast as 4 (though that is slow from what I understand from those with other programs)...

I appreciate the offer Crescent, but Chrome Tiger said he would host it for me at his site, Nexus. Thanks though...
Thread: Bryce Vs. Poser.........anyone? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
For me, it's probably 70% Bryce and 30% Poser. I use Poser strictly as a Pose creator and then import the characters (or props) into Bryce for compositing/rendering as I find I have much better control over lighting, DOF, in Bryce.
Thread: Cool new feature of Bryce 5.......NOT | Forum: Bryce
This is generally not the video card. This can be because of low resources in the computer, or it could be a bug in Bryce 5, since it is Bryce that is responsible for updating it's own window (not the operating system or the drivers). I know Bryce 4 seemed to always have this problem, but I haven't seen it in Bryce 5 as of yet...
