How about somewhere that's culturally and geographically in between Europe and the US? Like here in Ireland, for example? We could do with the extra business, and y'all could get to trace your ancestry at the same time! Then of course we could have side-trips to taste Guinness, look at 'Celtic' thingies, and admire the 40 shades of green... Just let me know when you want to come, and I'll organise it!

OK, I have laboured, and brought forth! The result is at the link above. Thanks for this, I really enjoyed it!Thread: Postwork Poser Challenge | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yippee! I love this sort of challenge! Just one question - where do you want the finished image posted? In the Poser gallery? Somewhere else? (Sorry if you've already said, and I've missed it - not quite awake yet!)
Thread: Painting hair question... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm another Wacom user - the smallest Wacom, which usually has to fight for room with the cat on my lap! Until I got it, I just couldn't get anywhere with hair painting, but one day it just clicked, and it's my favourite bit of 'doing' Poser now!

Pretty sure mny stuff isn't good enough (or pin-uppy enough?), but thought I might as well give it a go! Congrats to you, geoegress!Thread: Sloooooow..... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It's slow getting to Ireland, too... no doubt more 'minor layout changes' going on, or something. Sure it'll be back to normal soon!

Yippee! I'm dead chuffed (translation: - very happy) to have made it, and will start pestering the hubbie as of now to get some money paid off his credit card so we can get a copy if/when it's made available! I've never been on a DVD before..LOL! Congrats to everyone else, too!

The new colour scheme is terrible! I like the new logo, but this vast off-white area is so off-putting. I read the long thread where people were pleading for black, or something dark, and felt sure that, with so many complaints (suggestions?), you (the admins) would never go ahead and inflict this on us. I was wrong! Urk! Now where did I put my sunglasses - they've not been needed in Ireland so far this summer, but I think I'm going to have to wear them when I come here in future (and yes, I'll still be coming here, ghastly as it is, it's not enough to force me out!)
Thread: First try at Neo Mike 2 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, I think Mesh Magick's attempt (at least facially) is getting there. It's at least recognisable as being in the style of Neo - which is a Good Thing! I saw the (second)film for the first time last night, and thought it was wonderful - if complex - I need to watch it again!

I usually unzip (or un-RAR) to a folder on my desktop, rather than directly into Poser, so I can see how the author has set up their file structure. Some, I know from experience will have done it right, so I can unzip directly into my Poser directory - but others don't. At least, with the desktop method, you get to see where the files end up being located, and then it's an easy matter to drag them across to where they should be. Works for me, anyway (although I must admit to having a shedload of orphan files in various places within Poser that I haven't had time to sort out - back from the days befoe I learned to look before I installed 'em!)

Weird what Poser leads you into. I find myself studying people's hair all the time nowadays - the way the light hits it, the way it shines (or fails to). I get urges to ask people with interesting faces if I can take photos of them - and I also look through catalogues of clothes - not to buy, just to see where wrinkles occur! The husband was a little alarmed to find me studying his eyeballs the other day - not staring into them lovingly - just looking at the veins! He wants me to do pics of fetishistic-looking females, just for him, but whenever I set out to do one, it magically transmutes into something else! Guess fetish ain't my style. Ah well. He'll live.
Thread: skin texturing - when is too much or not enough!? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
No advice, no notes to compare, but I'd just like to say - I WANT THAT TEXTURE!!! It's absolutely stupendous - especially the lines around the mouth. Are you going to make it available to us lesser mortals when you're done?
Thread: Stupid Question About Victoria 3 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Since I've had V3, I've had far fewer problems with Poser (4) locking up on me - but then, I rarely load all the morphs, just the ones I plan to use - and I've more or less given up on clothing objects - I draw my own in post (ditto hair)! It was a case of having to, to begin with, but now the postwork is my favourite part of making pictures! V3 with the basic head and body morphs works really well for me - haven't touched V2 or 1 since I got her. This puter is three years old in August - it's a 733 Packard Bell with (I think, it varies according to what the hubbie's put in it or taken out of it) 512 meg of RAM. I also use a nifty little piece of free software called Rambooster (easily found using Google). It's telling me I currently have 133104 Kb of RAM free - which I find is more than enough to render V3 with several morphs. V3 is just so versatile - look in my gallery if you want to see some of the things you can do with her and nothing else - most of my pics consist of a single V3 and postwork. (Although I usually use an invisible ball for pointing her eyes at!). To tell you the truth, I am so addicted to V3 that I can't understand why anybody would want to be without her! I can see she'd be a pain if you're into multi-figure renders, but she works great for what I want!
