I agree fully with DawnStar - that color range selection has been a lifesaver for me over and over. Other than that, I use the magic wand often to deselect areas after narrowing a selection first with the circle or square. Totally old skool, I know, but it's how I learned.

N1PPON, I plan on using the fifth light setup in the set tonight; I tested every one of them last night and they all worked fine, and I just remember I liked the fifth one the best. By the way: Did you create .rsr files for the lights at all? In poser all I get is "no image set" or something like that when I look at the list under lights. Thanks!

Thread: Suggested Standard for Merchants by Merchants | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, here's something that's more of a general suggestion. My Pose list is huge, and I use P4. It takes me about 30 seconds just to scroll to the bottom of it (yes, I know, get PBooost. I've tried it, and I can't use it cuz win98 always locks the stupid folders). Now, I'm aware that there are limitations to the number of folders Poser can address (something like 250), so I believe that merchants should definitely keep this in mind when deciding whether to create a new folder or not. If it can be avoided, do it. For example, if you created a mat for another product, put the mat file with the product, don't create a new one. And here's one more customer preference: I really do love the zips that auto install the product, if I unzip it to the poser directory. However, I rarely do this because of the inevitable readme.txt that will overwrite whatever is sitting in my Poser directory. Instead, I just unzip the product to it's own directory, then cut and paste the runtime directory to the Poser 4 directory. That way I have a product-named directory with it's attendant readme. I wouldn't mind changing this habit if merchants adopted a readme location standard, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hey, I saw a little utility on 3d Universe that may help, although I haven't tried it. From the description it sounded like maybe it would help you here - it's in the freestuff section over on www.3duniverse.com.
Thread: Quarker's Hairs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm running Win98SE with a 1.7Ghz Celeron and 128MB RAM, and while I do have some problems rendering at times, it's not usually Quarker's Hair (I only have the Grace Lion Hair) that gives me the problems. I recently installed a little proggy called CacheMan, and it has definitely helped, although only a little. One of the things that also helps me is, when rendering big pics (i.e. 2000x2000) leave the dpi at 72, particularly if you plan on posting the pic on the web. Extra dpi above that is useless and a waste of good RAM when rendering.
Thread: Confession of a Poser addict | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
BluesPadawan, I'm with you! Besides being a hopeless Poser addict perpetually short on sleep, when I actually DO go out to see a movie or even watch one at home, I can't just watch it anymore! Oh, and particularly when I watch that Animatrix short film on the DVD?! I've watched it like a million times and I STILL can't help but working out how to get the same effects in my renders. Hopeless. So, suffice it to say: MachineClaw, we hear you.

Sweet! That looks awesome. Can't wait to see more. Are you going for more of a 'street' version or a race version liveried with sponsor decals?

I want this too! Seeing a woman in a man's shirt has always been the epitome of sexiness for me. There's some great picture ideas in this! I can't wait!
