Books? I have such a difficult time cuz they don't come with a mouse. Tolkein- LOTR King- The Stand Richard Bach (all) Alvin Toffler-Powershift Tons of stuff from "Landmark Edu." Seminars manuals,manuals,manuals. Now I know how to build everything, and they were right. They just keep coming!!

Bump, color, ambience, all have an effect. Yet the 2 I focus more on is specularity and belive it or not metalicity, it tends to spread the specularity over the mat more evenly. More often I use sand/bump with increased in number size(decreased in size) for the bump, yet there are some fantastic leather mats out there. Grainy Bump, subtle Specularity. If you check my gallery you'll see a few styles of leather look. Good luck, hope to see what you come up with. ICM

1024x768, the ground he is stading on is a cube w/dark stone material to add to the perspective view, Only part that bugged me was where it meets the base of the pillars. the infinite plain is black. I was trying to keep the ground mats as subtle as possible.

That looks great!! Can't wait to see the finish.One small note, I know this is picky but the paper hanging with the push pin either needs a better angle or reposition the pin. I know, I have tons of crap hanging from a board like that.
