Thread: Vue 11 Infinte Eco Painter | Forum: Vue
Hi again,
Yes, I should read manuals but I admit I am one of the never reads manuals species, to which one could respond "stop moaning then", but I always got by with tutorials, which I personally prefer and the good guy in the tut did not mention that, lol...I normally paint from the top and I then get away with it, but somehow one broke free :-)
I have reduced my settings after the crash and it is behaving itself better since...

I was truly hoping they would complement each other nicely but they claimed it would understand Poser shadertrees, but that is only partially true as it sadly doesn't understand shadernodes and many things look dull since info is missing. I will get the hang of it though, especially with all the money I already investe in Vue, lol...It's all very pricey compared to stuff here at Rendo...gosh :-)

Hi Paula,
Thanks for your answer. It went a bit better today. I have their latest Vue tuts and have gone through a few already which was helpful to get me started. I will not drop Poser though as it remains my favourite and I am a pro in that one, lol...Kind regards...Lev
Thread: 1st ever use-Incompatible alpha Information??? | Forum: Vue
OK, I understand what you are saying. Is this also the reason why the first object I load has this error straight away? In the end, it all seems to work OK, no matter the errors but I need more experimenting. I managed a slightly better image today....Thanks for all your help as it is appreciated!

I tried all render settings, from final to ultra and my own as in 300 DPI. The ultra settings smooth everything in such a way that it looses all definition, so I generally go with a lower setting. Here I went for final and it took 1 hour with a rainy day atmosphere....It looked better with the standard one but I thought the shadows were wrong, as in heather wouldn't cast the amount of shadow it did and so I changed the atmosphere and it got worse from there on....
The scene contained 1 procedural terrain, ecopainted heather, some rocks and a tree, as well as DAZ sheep imported from Poser. I have attached it. I used materails it shipped with or left them as they were.

My Vue 11 Esprit is crashing every day and the day after its instal I had a blue screen when launching Windows which was supposedly related to my NVIDIA graphics card. I had to get the latest driver. So far, Windows in behaving but Vue still crashes. Render times are abysmal compared to Poser and the results are not good for me, but I am a Vue virgin....
Intel i72600@3.4GHz, GTX 560 TI, 8 GB Ram, Windows 7/64 are the specs for mine

I am new to Vue as today was my first attempt, but I have the same issues you described. Sometimes it wouldn't paint and if I wanted to erase, it wouldn't erase. I found that I had to close and re-open Ecopaint for things to work somehow. I still have plants on tree tops as they wouldn't erase, not as a single item and not when I selected a bit of everything...That was highly frustrating as I have many other issues....So far, it isn't fun :-(

This is my Christmas present to you guys. These are Poser shaders. They will only work in Poser as there isn't a single texture map attached. Please refer to the readme for more info and have a great Christmas....
PS apologies to DS users but I sadly don't use it at all.

Rendo, you need to work on this as I am going nuts in Opera when I want to post to the forums...
I wanted to add that I create a lot of freebies but ask no info. I just make them available for download
