Is there going to be an update to PP Game Dev to accommodate the licensing server change?

Ah, am I the only one not seeing the attachment links?
They disappeared years ago. I posted a link in the thread to the stocking shader about 5 years ago...

Edit: I can't seem to make it a live link...

Initially I was surprised, but they know their sales figures, and they wouldn't do it if they thought there would be a significant negative impact. They wouldn't be doing it if they weren't expecting a long-term improvement...

Did you install the Poser Companion files for your DS items? The Importer is just that; it doesn't include any content...

I use 1.1.3.49, which is the last public beta version, because versions later than 1.1.3.50 cause distortions in the Genesis 2 mesh.
Did you happen to reinstall or upgrade Poser? I have found that the contents of the writable runtime folder in the DSON importer settings holds a lot of converted files that are needed to load saved scenes. I recall that the default is the Poser content directory for that version of Poser. I have mine set to the external runtime where I keep my DAZ content...

Thanks for this information. I am going to have to set aside at least a couple of hours or so, so I can map this out and be sure I'm following everything correctly, tedious as it has been over the course of this past month.
Not sure what UAC is, can someone please tell me what that stands for?

Have you added your DAZ Library to Poser as an external runtime folder? If you haven't, here is a how-to; the section at the bottom for Poser8-10 applies to11 too...

The DSON importer works transparently with items that have Poser Companion files; one just loads them through the Poser library. However, the Companion file is simply a Python script that calls the DSON Importer. They can be created in Studio, but with the D3D DSON Loader Script, the Importer is called directly without the need for the Companion File.
Looking at your screenshot, it appears that you have the DSON Loader script installed in the Poser program directory; unless you have Windows' User Account Control turned off, you might be able to see it in Explorer, but Poser wont find it to put it on the Scripts menu, because it's really someplace else. However, since it appears you have browsed there via File>Run Python Script, try running it (DSONLoader.py) from there, browse to your saved scene and see if it loads up....

The path for Python scripts always have to be within the Runtime! The Runtime has to be in Program Files->Smith Micro->Poser (whatever version)
Runtime->Python->poserScripts->ScriptsMenu->Dimension3D->DSONLoader.py (the DSON loader by D3D)
Not in Windows; User Account Control prevents writing to the C:/Program files hierarchy by the user.
If you install the D3D DSON Loader into your default Poser 11 Content location, it should show up in the Scripts menu after you restart Poser.
To find that default location, in the Poser Library, select 'All' from the Dropdown near the top left, right click Poser 11 Content, and click on 'Show in Explorer'.
When you install the DAZ DSON importer, the installer is given permission to write into the Poser program folder, so it is installed there However, you can't manually copy stuff there; the program is not permitted to access it......

OK, you are trying to bring in architectural models.
I loaded the Old Industrial Office Room from DAZ with iRay materials into DAZ Studio, and saved it as a scene. I then loaded it into Poser using the D3D DSON Loader script, and it loaded in seconds. The only issues are that in preview some walls are not visible in Preview (uncheck Remove Backfacing Polys in the preview render settings to fix), and the glass is not transparent...
I'm don't know why you are having issues with DAZ Studio crashing, as it is pretty stable on my machine...

It is pretty straightforward; make sure that any DAZ content library folders have been added to the Poser library as external runtime directories.
I saved the scene from Studio as a regular DAZ .DUF, and then used the D3D DSON Loader to browse to that location and open it.
I then go and get a cup of tea and do something else for a while, as it takes several minutes to import the scene.
One possible caveat is that I don't use the latest version of the DSON importer as it causes distortions in Genesis 2 figures; I use the last beta version, which may be in your DAZ Product Library; it is still in mine. Also, posing in Poser is very sluggish, at least on my 6-core AMD machine...

Here is a scene with a Genesis 2 figure I saved as a .DUF from Studio 4.10 and brought into Poser as above. Rendered in P11.1 Pro Superfly.
The room materials are for iRay, the figure and chair mats are for 3Delight. While it looks pretty good overall, the chair should be metallic, the picture in the frame at left is not visible (I suspect it may be a transparency issue, as the jar above it is grey) and I've no idea why the wall plate at right is blue..
However, there is no way to guarantee that a Genesis asset will perform 100% correctly in Poser. As an example, note the poke-through in the left forearm, which occurs because Poser does not support the DAZ smoothing modifier...
