Deja Vu. Thought I was the only one that made that mistake (lol). Guess that makes us human. Jeff
Thread: Comments - one more time | Forum: Fractals
I'm one of the new guys around here. It makes my day when one of the veterans tells it like it is with my work. I have only been doing this for a few months and I think I found something that I truly love to do. A year from now I DEFINATELY do not want to be at the same level I am now. I can only get better if people point out the things that I miss, which is a lot. Jeff

Why not post it? This is cool. The writings in the background captures the essence of fractals.

Learn something new every day. Seen so much skin in the poser gallery that I forgot the "nudity" was selected to no. I thought Renderosity would edit the thumbnail, not completely block the entire post. Wonder what else I missed. Duh to myself.

Didn't take it personnaly. I noticed there is a group of people like myself who post at midnight just to get it over with and know they don't have to do it in the morning. Seeing that "we" are all posting at midnight, then why not take an extra few minutes and check each others work out before calling it a day. This mentality causes these people to often have the first comment. Had to write that because it sounded so silly reading it. I'd hate to think there was a group of "refreshers" also. I'd like to think that the people here are using their time wisely to hone their skills. "Duh." Sorry, I'm a throwback from old school. Starting to gray myself. :(

Actually I do both. If it's a good graphic worthy of the vote, I vote, comment and move on. If it's a really freakin' cool graphic like "Zulu Chief," I'll write vote in the comment section to let the artist know they've created something that is truly awe inspiring. I think it all comes down to personal preference. Some people label vote and others vote secretly. Each person is different, which makes the world a much better place. If someone gets irritated by having someone write vote, then it's a sure bet that there is someone that gets just as equally irritated that someone votes without letting them know (some people appreciate it so they can say "thanks"). Jeff PS. I've commented first several times. I don't "rush" to type, it's as simple as me sitting in front of the computer when someone posts a work that I like (duh). You don't actually believe there are people sitting there refreshing their screen just so they can "rush to be first" do you?

Response to #5 above. I am have Apop beta 2 and when I click on file, I don't get "in APOP..."File-Export to Bitmap"". The only option like that that I get is "Export UPR." Is there another download I missed or something. Thanks.

Biggest problem I was having was that the image would lose clarity when converted from BMP to JPEG. Downloaded Apop 2 and the render option directly to JPEG has incredible depth and clarity. I was originally planning on rendering in UF3, but now that the clarity problem is solved, I no longer need to do that. Seems Apop 2 also allows larger render sizes, so image clarity being lost due to enlarging the size has also gone away. Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I'll get some new fractals done with the better version soon.

Ditto, ditto, and more ditto. Thank God for DSL. Every time I think I have a good graphic, I post it, check others and my heart sinks because it looks just average compared to everyone elses. There are a TON of great artists here. Writing thank you's for every post is difficult. Forgive me if you feel snubbed if I didn't, but five difficult electronic courses at school kills me for time.

The top one. The blacker background makes the image jump out at you more. Highlights the rest of the pic.
