As soon as I saw it a title came to mind... "Oops?" with the question mark to keep the viewers guessing. It looks kind of comical and sad at the same time.

I think the air brush look is due to the ambient lighting. You should really try hdri lighting (I'm not quiet sure if poser can utilize this) because the lighting will be a lot sharper and show nice clean crispy reflections on the body shell.

The image you uploaded looks like a fine display of exactly what poser can do whith a little hard work though I tend to be a Carrara man myself and use poser for acessing exertnal 3rd party goodies which tend to come in handy now and again for filling up the background of a scene... I prefer making everything from scratch myself.
Once you have your bits together, email them to me and I will see what I can do for you.

I would love to see what you have developed in the raw render... sounds cool.
Meanwhile just grab some photo refences and a good 3view of the car base and email them to me via ib-creations@ntlworld.com and I will start getting things layed out at this end for production to begin.

Yeah I know what you mean.. Which is why I try my best at keeping eveything as limited possuible with regards to polys and mats. If you would like a specific car model built (or even a custom car) I would be quiet happy to give it a go. All you would really need is a god set of 3 view plans a nice selection of reference photos or drawings. Though, like everything else it will take time but you will be noted of progress and at the same time you can place your preferences through out the build, even to the point of creating a custom car and paint job.
I leave it down to you.

If you want a unique styled seat you could try extracting the one from my sprint model if you wish and it is free.

Ah.. That is because blender is one of the few programs that can extrude vertices to create edges and so forth.. It happens.

Thread: need help with UV mapping | Forum: Carrara
The UV editing section has changed a bit since version6 but the route towards the UV mapping section is the same as mine even though I use 7pro at the moment (gotta get the cash together LOL)
If you check out the image I have attached you will note a button at the top right-hand side that you click on to enter the UV mapping section then it is just a case of browsing the various tabs as you will find the buttons that are essentially the same as what the tutorial shows but just in different places.
Hope this helps.
LOL.. mark aswered whilst I was typing... and learning to spell too.
Thread: when would a model become my own | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm sorry to say that they are right.
If any a model holds even just the smallest piece of anouther persons creation you can not refer to it as your own. If you are looking at adjusting a model severly and then trying to sell it under your own name you will get a lot of hate mail..
however.. If you upgrade the model with new add-ons or textures then you can sell only the parts/textures you have desighned for that model but not the model itself..
These days it is just a lot easier to start from scratch and build it from the floor up as I do.
Thread: Fantastic normal map generator | Forum: Carrara
Quote - Mark, about your image: How does Carrara handle the dysplacement maps? Did you use just the normal map for your image?
(sorry to ask twice, but it seems the question got burried in the CB version discussion)
If you open the material editor as normal and look at the very top you should notice a second tab titled "Displacement". Hit that tab and then you can place your images etc in in the normal way. Though it would be a good idea to check out the manual to get a good understanding of how each displacement adjustment works in line with each other.

Quote - The free beta version of CB was before the version 1 is out... so I dont think that is the case now. You can try the other that I pointed, SmarNormal and XNormal are free. Shadermap Pro is only U$ 20
Thanks for the note about those others as I have downloaded them and I am going to try them out tomorrow (a bit late over here now in the UK).

I am using the CrazyBump windows 1.101 beta version and as soon as it opens the main screen states that it is a demo version with links for requesting the licened version. I downloaded it via the forums Announcements section.
