You Mr. Peabody I do the same , heck sometimes I look at those specifically with no comments or very low comments because there's some really good stuff out there but name recognition seems to be the biggest draw I see hear, so often some very wonderful works are overlooked because it may be right next to a Prog (no disrespect) render...
Then there are the times when I'm just commented out...but I usually find the same render later on down the line and wonder why I didn't post a comment and then realize, the day I didn't was because commenting sometimes is more work than the render, I try to give more than the "super render" not saying I don't do those as well, but my first ten comments of the day are normally long and drawn out, by the time I get to 20, I'm burnt.
The downside of that is some people feel obligated to leave a comment because I left one on theirs...(you can tell) and that goes on way too often but I'm getting even offer (yeah not a word in the way I mean it) topic.

I post stories in my gallery but if you really want a response, feedback etc. you go with the pin up renders, and get the "gee good job". Looking at my gallery I see the I get less and less views, less and less comments...people for the most part just want a pretty picture, I was going to go back to the pretty picture format but I'd rather not post at all if it comes to that, yet the feedback/veiwing portion is what we are all here for, if not why do it here when you could just do it mentally. We want others to see our works.
Writers provide the meal, but here is a place for presentation over nutrional content...I try a mix of both and seem to be failing miserbly. Eventually I'll start posting some of my poems with renders...with over 500 written, I'm pretty sure I'll run out of renders before poems.
