Yes, Esprit has procedural terrains.
If I was going to buy a copy, I'd save the $5 plus s&h and go for the instant download version anyway. :) If I get it, I may decide to objectively review it as it applies to Easel and Esprit since I have both. If this would be helpful to anyone, let me know.

and never is an awfully long time
Well, at least currently. :)
which left me with the impression that someone wasn't doing their job and got "reassigned".
Someone's always the scapegoat, but that's PR. ;) I'll admit to being biased about CP by accounts I might have heard. I currently have had no positive experiences shopping there like I do with Daz, Renderosity, etc. One of these days, maybe an irrestible offer (or sale) will happen along CP's site and join the chorus in praise of CP too. LOL :)

Having had some pre-sales relations, I'm definitely not impressed. Hopefully, any problems CP has had or has don't impact the vendors who have exclusive arrangements too much. This isn't the first such thread I've seen here like this. They seem to keep popping up every so often. While I'd like to take it all with a grain of salt, I'm afraid I'd still never shop there.
Thread: Artwork to T-Shirts (without "Iron-On" transfers)... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
One of these days they may upgrade these forums like they've upgraded other parts of this site (i.e. The Marketplace). Be careful what you wish for. ;)

I've since scratched the following from requirements as it ended up becoming quite impractical... "To have to be limited to 4, 6 or even 8 color printing processes." After relaxing my standards and visiting dyesub.org, I found quite a few possibilities there that might produce acceptable results.:) Thanks all!

Thanks! I'll give that link a look at. :) In case anyone wondered (as far as quantity)...
This would be just for myself to determine how I like various techniques / methods. After settling on a particular method / vendor, I could very well decide to do more.
I am familiar with dye-sublimation as I have a 4x6 canon printer that does an acceptable job of making prints of my art. It only does that one size, though.
Sadly, CafePress and Zazzle say they don't use Dye-Sublimation when I contacted them.
Anyone know of a business that makes use of dye-sublimation technology to make "custom" digital art prints to t-shirts and the like ?

"Still nothing beats Xeons( 2MB L2 Cache),hee, hee, hee."
Really ? Perhaps, but this one comes darn close. ;)
AMD Opteron 175 ~ $500 shipped.
64-bit Socket 939 Dual Core Processor
2GHz FSB
2MB L2 Cache
Anyone know what Xeon FSB speeds are up to these days ? :)

Thread: Bookreview of the Carrara 5 Pro Handbook. | Forum: Carrara
IMHO...
It seems that it takes much more space and time to explain the more "advanced" stuff. Not to mention the experience to do it right.
If this book was better at being everything to everyone then it would likely be double it's size of more. Adding all the necessary "Advanced" text would likely have delayed the book by many months. If you're looking for "Advanced / Expert" material then would you really want to pay for a book of which half you may ignore ?
As single book that's now "Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced" it's questionable whether that's necessarily fair to the author when you can get for as low as $30 on Amazon.
Also, as two separate editions: "Beginner/Intermediate" and "Advanced/Expert" aren't you more likely to get what you paid for ?
I think for what it is, it's great. Hopefully, Mike will still want to come out with an "Advanced / Expert" edition to possibly satisfy the rest of you. :)
I don't mean to offend anyone. I'm just posting my musings about this situation. :)

Thread: Well...it's my birthday today, what would you buy ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
After deciding, I then spent a total of ~ $75 at R'osity, DAZ3D, RawArt3D in order of most spent first.
I wanted to say thank you to the all merchants for making these products great and available at reasonable prices. :)
While my Daz3D wishlist lies empty with uncertain hope of filling again soon, I have plenty of wishlist items left at R'osity. I imagine it's quite typical for most to have more wishlist than money. ;)

Sorry to hear that. :(
I take it you've never attempted to render a caustics water animation with swimming Vickies then ?
It would be a pity if your hydrophobia extended to Poser. ;)

Hmmm...yes I've looked at that when RDNA's newletter arrived in my inbox! I think it would perhaps be interesting to see a comparison of P.I.C.K (RDNA) vs Maclean's Room Creator (DAZ). Thanks! Those meshbox items are mighty tempting. I guess I didn't realize that they were sold here as well as on CP. I'm just more likely to buy them here. :) Being a fish is fun! :)

The castle kit from Faveral I bought shortly after DAZ began they're sale. It's been pretty nice. :) It's sort of funny that everyone so far is referring to DAZ. Where's that R'osity love ? LOL!
