The Merman looks cool. Ditto the seahorse. Now all y'have to do is hook him up with either the Zygote Mermaid or Hokusai's Mermaid.

Boba Ratt? Looks kinda cool. Not really a shoddy model. Not crappy either, but it does look like he has "floating" shoulder pads. But it is kinda neat. Now we have a champion to fight PaN's Cat! Good work! Nick
Thread: Another P4 Patch Bug... conforming articles... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
E-Mail Larry. He WANTS us to bug him about problems. And he DOES listen. I have e-mailed him twice about various issues and he has responded twice. And in the last e-mail he asked what kinds of plugins would be useful to us. So E-mail Larry at larry@ghosteffects.com He's a portion of the message I got from Larry. Larry Sez The theory was that Carrara would become the platform for serious extension work at MetaCreations. It's an impressive App in some ways. We were going to get Poser to pluggin into it well so that it would work with other extensions there. We do use plugins for import/export in Poser, and we had been working on creating an SDK which would allow more sophisticated use of Poser files for other purposes. Where would you want to see plugins happening inside Poser ? For animation? For rendering ? And I am not a moderator, nor am I a "Poser Big Shot" I'm just a user. Nick
Thread: P4 Patch bug... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This may be slightly off subject, but then again maybe not. I e-mailed Larry and got a response to some of my questions regarding additions and such. He said that a Poser -Bryce thing was almost ready but he is still waiting for the Bryce people to finish it. And he said that they will be releasing a SDK for creating plugin apps (they created it primarily so the Bryce team could work up an export filter). Apparetnly there is quite a bit they are working on. And Larry DOES send replys back. I have recieved two replys to my questions. He seems to be going out of his way to be nice, so if you have any problems at all, give him an e-mail. He WILL reply. He said that Ghost Effects is the primary support for the P4 Patch and Poser until it gets picked up by some other company. Nick
Thread: thigh/hip boots available? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know Hokusai had a great set out there, but I haven't been able to download them lately. (I accidentally wiped the Zip disk with some of my poser stuff -DOH! - By the way, does anyone have the Zygote Santa from last year. I lost it in the wipe.) Although PhilC has a thigh boots figure. It's on the funstuff. It's a P3 model with the boots. E-mail Hokusai. Nick

Thread: Just wanted you to know.... | Forum: Community Center
Y'know JackBNimble I was looking for a term to describe this place and the Coffehouse from Friends does it. I only go there looking to see if there is any new news on the Meta breakup, but I hate that site. It's okay, but this is the best site I have ever used. And in reference to what hawkflyr was saying about hard drives getting full, most of my stuff came from here. Very little comes from there, except when I have a hard time downloading something here, I check there. (Handy ain't it) But I would chuck the PFO altogether and stick with Jack's place if not for the fact that Larry Weinberg and some of the engineers post there. Damn them. Why not come here?! Oh well. What goes around comes around. Nick

I started using the PFO back in, don't tell my ma, but mid november(She bought P3 for me at a computer show we went to and had me install it, just to make sure it worked, then I was to uninstall it and wait for Christmas. (I didn't) but I was using the PFO back when they were still on IguanaSoft and was overjoyed at the improvements that were made. I have been an active user ever since January and only until about October, I kinda let it lapse. I got a job and didn't have much time to surf. When I was let go I went back to my good old PFO to find it changed. And for the better. Then on the Tech forum Grey said the site moved and I found most of the Funstuff posts saying "Edgenet Sucks" and when I posted a question about it on the Tech Forum it was deleted. So ever since then Grey and Willow have left a bad taste in my mouth about them. I went to the other forum and found that seemed alot colder. Even when Radart posted his "End of Radart" pic they didn't even flinch. Heck they had a bunch of Metachanges posts on thier forum and when a few people commented that "You guys should get back together and end this silly war" they snapped back with "This is not the time to bring up Jack's site." I only go thier just to get the other freebies and get a little more info about this whole thing with Meta. Especially since Steve Cooper and Chad Smith of Zygote have been in contact with Grey, but it seems like they would rather forget Renderosity even exists. I think it is better now that they are gone. It's alot more fun here. 'specially since my ol'buddy Legume is a Moderator now. I really like you guy and gals. I hope it stays as close. Good work Jack. Hope your Christmas is a good one, and Y2K brings you more money! Y'know, I like the fact that this place is free, but I would gladly buy any products you guys come out with. Just to keep you going. Keep up the good work and have a merry poser christmas! Nick Noel
Thread: MetaCreations to focus solely on Web/Metastream? | Forum: Animation
Well I hope they either sell the Poser, RDS, Bryce, Carrara, Canoma and others to someone who will keep them alive and let them fly with it. Maybe the employees that get let go will form a company that will take over the pro graphics programs. These programs are too good to lose. Nick Noel
