#1 gets my vote for picture quality and story-telling, but I'd also like to give a credit to the idea in #12. Well done altogether. I'll have to think about entering something in a future contest...

Amazing for 1.5 hours work! How did you do the particles? I totaly sympathize as well. Bashing products is pointless. Thanks for sticking in; please don't leave this place like so many others...

Agiel, TheJoker's response was misleading in that it implied that he had sent the information to Steve (eon). I think Steve has the right to let us know that this isn't the case. I agree that TheJoker shouldn't send his serial through IM, but he shouldn't say that he did if it's not the case. Just my 2 cents.

One thing to keep in mind, Tunesy, is that eon have built into Vue Pro a system to make the program very unstable if you're not using a legit copy. You can check their FAQ (http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Support/Vue4ProFAQ.php). It says so quite clearly: "The program is very unstable and crashes repeatedly within 10 minutes of launching? There is a special "anti-piracy" technology included in Vue 4 that will make the program very unstable if it is not a legal license. If this is your case, then look no further... "My guess is quite a few complaints are from people who don't own a legit copy.
I personnaly am very satisfied with the product, and as ShadowWind says, the service is excellent. There were quite a few issues when Vue Pro was first released (I'm lucky to have gotten it after that period :-), but most have apparently been fixed.
My best recommendation at this point would be that you download the demo and give it a try.

Well, if e-on was unable to fix your problem, you should ask for a refund. At least, that's what I'd do!

What kind of detail did you provide them with? All you've been saying here is "it keeps crashing!". I guess they need more info in order to help you out.

TheJoker, is your video board one that is recognized by Vue Pro? Did you try disabling OpenGL? Last, did you contact e-on's tech support and discuss your problems with them?

Who are you, artico, to criticize Wabe's work in that way? Oh, btw, I checked your name: Wabe Wabe. How interesting... TheJoker, there's something I don't understand in your note. You're implying that eon has added some code to the retail version so that it crashes - whereas the demo doesn't crash?! Why would someone shoot himself in the foot that way? Or is your copy not a legit one, and you are suffering from eon's antipiracy protection? If so, how dare you criticize? I haven't been here long, but I find Agiel is doing a terrific job moderating this forum. I'd bee far less tolerant myself!
Thread: Pro Vs Basic Vue - Which ? | Forum: Vue
Yup, right on, John. For static rendering, Pro doesn't add all that much. Plant Editor, better OpenGL, a couple of new rendering options, network rendering and mesh simplification. Of course, if you want to be able to export, then you'll need Pro. I personnaly cannot complain about Vue Pro's stability. I find it pretty stable. It's crashed a couple of times (like any other piece of software), but nothing worth spilling my guts about. I'd say both are an excellent choice, depending on what you want to do and how your budget stands. Pete
Thread: Free plants at e-on? | Forum: Vue
Thanks e-on! Freebies are always welcome, and it's true the new plants look great! :-))) John, I guess the best is that you ask e-on. My guess would be that the modified plants won't work if you don't own the base plant.
Thread: Blur quality | Forum: Vue
Yes, Vue Pro has a special render feature for blur. It's called hybrid something. Works very well.
