Nope no need for any polys assigned to the bone in question, in order to conform they just have to have at least one bone in common, you have at least a chest bone in your conformer.
or are you referring to the erc? for that to work yes the erc has to be set up in a certain way which yours is now that you fixed it.

Quote - > Quote - But be aware that you lose all the benefits of morph capacity by doing that.
What exactly do you mean by that? I'm curious as to what will be lacking by using the figure. What is compatible with it as far as morphs?
In other words, if I have a V4 character face morph, will it work with that figure?
Yes V4 to V3 can use all the V4 face morphs, and textures, what hborre was referring to was full body morphs, since the V4 to V3 figure is actually the V4 mesh reshaped to V3 size she doesn't take V3 body morphs and since the base shape and grouping is changed she cant take the V4 FBMs either.

Body morphs yes, V4 Head morphs work with V4 to V3, if you want V3 bodymorphs than you need to use V3.

yes that is exactly what that figure is for, the V4 to V3 figure is rigged to use the V3 clothing

ok yes that makes more sense and as I said that is your precise problem, go ahead and try doing a rename throughout your conformer cr2 from Bulk to FBMBulk and I think you will find that the crosstalk works in both poser and studio.

ok I see your problem, your master dial in the body of the conformer has the internal name Bulk, but the master dial in the V4 figure is FBMBulk that won't fly to link erc in studio, poser tends to be a bit looser about naming though its hard to figure out consistent rules as far as that goes.
as far as your erc the only erc you are showing is for valueparms in the chest. I'm not really seeing the code there for the rotate and trans dials, but as I said studio needs the internal names to match between the base figure and conformed figure

ok cool that would help, and if that's the case than that's likely the problem the internal name should really be used rather than the label, but there is also a trick for poser that needs to be done to keep the superconforming aspect, having to do with getting rid of figure number designations.

The reason is that Poser and Studio do superconforming in different ways, Poser's is a bug that they havn't completely stamped out so it can be forced, studio's is intentional but there are ways that it can be screwed up (Such as the conformer not having the channel that the erc link is pointing to), but that doesn't mean you can't get it to work in both, Unfortunately its really impossible to guess why its working in one and not in the other without looking at the cr2 itself.

Quote - I just saw an ad in a silicon valley newspaper about how to make millions creating iphone apps.
I dunno if it would work, but whenever I look around me, there are dozens of bozos fondling
at their iphones all day. there wouldn't be much chance of underestimating their intelligence
in terms of spending their cash on useless apps
Yeah and you can make money stuffing envelopes too I have heard. the thing is that there are something like 60.000 iphone apps already. so getting an app even noticed is like winning the lottery. I have a friend who is a programmer who purchased several manuals on building apps for the iphone, and started creating and selling his own apps thinking he would make it big. so far he has yet to recoup the cost of the manuals.

Currently the tax laws in the united states for doing business over the internet are practically nonexistant. every year state and federal governments try to pass laws requiring the collection of sales tax from internet businesses. the only one so far that has stuck is for businesses which have brick and morter locations in a state, those businesses are requred to collect tax from customers from their own state who purchase goods from them but not from other states. California is one that rabidly enforces that law.

Quote - Regarding a clean install of Win7 from WinXP, would installing another clean drive as the boot drive and keeping the original boot drive in the system help at all?
I always install my applications to another drive anyways so they are never on the boot drive. However, Windozs has a nasty habit of spreading configuration files all over the boot drive.
I already have 6 drives in my system so another is no big deal.
I had no problem when installing the beta I just installed it to a partition in a seperate drive(I didnt disconnect the xp drive at all) and I can select either Win 7 64 bit or XP 32 bit when I start up the computer. some of the software (including all my versions of poser) I didn't even have to reinstall I created a shortcut to the .exe and they worked fine in win7.

I paid $49 for the preorder upgrade of Win7 home premium when they had the special back in june, which includes 64 bit version. for me it made a huge amount of sense comparing to how much it would have cost me to upgrade from XP 32 bit to either XP64 or Vista64bit. and that XP compatibility thing is really only important if you have really ancient software, I havnt found that one piece of software I own and still use has had any problems running on Win7

I use valueOpMinus a lot to do sequential morphs, where I want the morphs to trigger in sequence using a master dial.
