Kendra, I'm glad you didn't feel 'jumped on'. I seldom post a response to things when I have something to say because I'm worried about getting jumped, or coming off like I'm jumping someone. That's the major problem keeping me from a promotion at work. Apparently, things I say come off harsher than I mean them, so I have a 'people problem'. Of course the fact that I don't like most of the poeple I've met probably doesn't help ;-) People just always seem ready to fight or flee. 4000 years of civilization and we still depend on the most basic animal instinct for problem solving. Look at dailyn's situation. The thugs want to fight, she doesn't. She doesn't want to flee either, she's exploring other options. For the most part this community is very open and helpful, but here and everywhere, the loudest person is easiest to hear. Kendra, don't know where your quote came from but it seems to me, judging from the number of members on this site right now (1114), and the amount of activity in the forum, freestuff and galleries, not to mention the other sites, that there are a lot of people who enjoy using Poser. Dodger was probably just sitting there staing at his screen when it occured to him how really impressively cool Poser is.

Most people who speak up do so to complain. Thats human nature. It takes real guts and maturinty to acknowledge appreciation for something or someone.

Next time someone gets annoyed cause they had to click 'Yes' 2 or 3 times, lets switch computers. I'm on a 300Mhz 62 Mb Ram with just under a gig on the hard drive(I had to delete almost all my 'I'll get back to that later WIP data files' cause I couldn't get bryce to import Posette -out of memory error), running W98. Need some humbling - try waiting a minute or so every time you move the camera for the display to come out of box-tracking mode.

And yet, I'd say that about 90something % of the time I'm home, I'm on the computer. Of that time 2 outa 3 minutes are spent on a project using Poser. Why?

I think Poser 4 is a good program, overall, and I like using it.

Your right in that LD should get something out of it. He? provides an invaluable service, especially for those who don't have the time to search through zillions of sites to see if they even have what they are looking for. However, trying to index the web in print simply can't work. A site with a nominal membership fee, or a pay per ask type thing. Didn't count, but I just finished catching up on the last two days worth of posts and Little Dragon answered like six questions. (I think, I didn't count.) He? didn't get anything but thanks for that. I guess it comes down to: Answering questions in the forums is helping people who asked. Compiling and index is work. I guess LD would rather be helpful than working. I know I would. I'd buy it too.

After all I've skimmed on the EULA and Copyrights and whatnot, I wouldn't think you could sell Poser 5. Transfer of Licence?

Not a problem for me. I keep mine cut to about an 1/8 inch (about 2mm for the rest of you) Picked up a clipper kit from Wal-mart 3 years ago, and just run it over my head once a week or so. Completely eliminated those pesky collision problems, as well as not having to pay a barber.
