Eh. Again, lately, I find it not to be. The textures by Laurie are /indeed/ wonderful, and I've bought most of them, but... There's something called variety that DAZ doesn't seem to get, lately. If they post 2 items a week for the entire year, that only makes 26 more items. That's not what was advertised when I joined.

Genies and Gypsies is a good set, however, I think they wanted an actual Romani outfit, not a cheesecake fantasy suit, Anton. Again, it's a gorgeous figure, but a real, traditional Romani woman wouldn't be caught dead in it. The skirt's far too short, the shirt's a mid drift and Romani hold that anything below the waist is dirty and not to be seen, /especially/ on a woman. Daz3d really should have thought of doing a bit of research when they decided to release a package with the word "Gypsy" in it, as that's the equivolent of calling a black person a certain word that starts with 'n'. P, check around for a long skirt, ISOP has a good set of skirts for Vicki that are nice and long, and a few tops, as well. Perhaps when used in conjunction with the Genie set, they'll make what you want... http://iso.power.ne.jp/

Well, even if he looked like M2 and was as morphable as V3, I'd gladly shell out the same price I did on V3. Which, believe me, when you add it all up was a /little/ bit. ^^;

Personally, I'd rather DAZ get back to work on Mike 3 than on more Vicki 3 stuff for the male. Don't get me wrong, she can achieve some nice, boyish looks, but I want Mike!

Bingo. My main concern is not that someone can get at the files. I've worked with Sims meshes, and they're /very/ low res. Just a few faces, actually. My concern is credit. I've downloaded some of these files, Fionn, because I like the work, and I usually read the readme files just to make sure I'm installing right. No credits, as far as I've seen. As for the furniture, that's impossible to recreate in poser, because it's just a picture, nothing more. They own the rights to the picture because they bought the model and rendered it. But the heads...?

This doesn't just resemble the Studio Maya side ponytail. It /is/. I just compared the image of it with an image of the ptail with the transparencies at zero. Same little hair placements, everything, just without the nice transmapping.

I don't know if they have permission or not. Fionn claims the work as their own, no one else's. Most artists require at least a credit. I paid money to join this site to get to the /non/ pirated objects, and found the ones that aren't. In short, they're making money off of this.

Yes, it is. And they've ripped Studio Maya hair, too. And you can seperate it, with the right tools and a bit of patience. And what makes me personally mad is they claim it's /their/ work and none other's.

Thanks, Clint. But like I already said, I tried contacting him. Got nothing. Being a merchant myself, I know my product got put through some pretty strong tests. Every face was checked to make sure it worked and the like. I want to know how this slipped through the cracks.
