Sexiness in a woman comes from the inside. Unfortunately that is something that Poser can't recreate yet, but who knows what they will come up with in release 5? ;-)

The name Kelderek comes from the lead character in the Richard Adams novel "Shardik". I have no really good explanation to why I picked it, I think it was when I registered my first Hotmail account long ago and just needed a nick name. It has stuck since then and I have continued using it when I entered into the 3D arena.

Go to www.daz3d.com and the page for Michael 2.0 in the store. There you will find a download link for the head and body texture template.

Thanks for the effort, this will come in handy. Now it's just a matter for us in the rest of the world to figure out what this is in metrics ;-)
Thread: Pure Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just wanted to add this to my post above: It's always possible to indicate when posting the pic which other software packages that has been used in order to avoid confusion!
Thread: Pure Poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Poser is not very advanced when it comes to manipulating other kinds of objects than humans (and other creatures). Therefore you can safely assume that trees, skies, advanced props etc are created in other software packages and imported into Poser. I don't know if there are any rules about how much of the picture that has to be pure Poser in order to qualify it for the Poser gallery. My personal opinion is as follows: -The characters should be manipulated and posed in Poser. -The scenery should be set up in Poser, but may of course include imported props, background images and stuff from other sources. -The final pic should be rendered in Poser. -Post work can be done in PhotoShop or similar packages for the final touches. This is of course just my opinion. To have a firm rule that evrything must be pure Poser in the Poser gallery will seriously limit creativity. The simple reason is that there are things Poser is not very good at. No single software package can fulfil all the needs that a creative artist has.

To put it in simple terms: Everytime you turn a dial in Poser that changes the shape and form of a figure, you are controlling a morph channel. Each figure has a multitude of morph channels already built in, and you can add extra ones by importing obj-files such as the ones supplied by Mr Traveler at the link provided by Rena above.

Depends on what kind of models you want, but if you mean human characters, there are several included in the software when you install it. All of them are built around the standard Poser figures P4 Man and P4 Woman, affectionatly called "Dork" and "Posette". Here at Renderosity you can find several character morphs, clothes, hair props etc for Dork and Posette, many of them for free. When you have become comfortable handling these figures, go for the more advanced Victoria and Michael from DAZ (www.daz3d.com). They will cost you, but you can't find anything better. You will also find an abundance of stuff for Michael and Vicky here at Renderosity too.

Thread: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Vicki Kyoko hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have a Victoria morph for the Kyoko hair, and from the "read me" file I can see that it comes from Handspan Studios. It's included in a set of textures (blond and red) for the hair. Try their website: www.handspanstudios.com
Thread: files for freestuff, 1 large inclusive, or 4 small. which is best???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That depends on what type of connection the people that are downloading has. I have a DSL connection and can download a 2Mb file pretty fast. I would rather have it as one file and avoid the work associated with unzipping and several files and putting it all together afterwards. People on a slow modem connection might appreciate several smaller filer. If the connection gets lost in mid-transit, they will not have to start all over with the large file again. However, there are several download utilities available that permits you to resume an interrupted download without loss of data. Maybe it would be a good idea to provide both options? Maybe Renderosity should think about providing a functionality where each download has two options, one for high speed downloads, one for modem users with several smaller files?

It is true that Poser does not have any landscape creation capabilities. However, if you do indoor scenes, you can do nicely with the rather primitive modelling capabilities in Poser. Create some walls with the primitives, apply a nice texture to them (available as free stuff) and add some furniture props (also possible to find as free stuff). There are also very nice full interiors made for Poser, mostly as commercial items, that will give you plenty of possibilities. If you find a free copy of Poser 3, please be aware of the fact that the leap to Poser 4 was huge!

Poser is a good start, it is not that expensive, it is easy to learn and is capable of amazing stuff. Not to mention that it is strongly addictive and therefore solves a lot of problems like "what to do with free time" etc ;-) Furthermore, the Poser community here at Renderosity is excellent in providing support and helpful tips, and you have tons of free stuff to download as well as fantastic Poser related products in the Store. I would suggest that you start by downloading the free trial version of Poser at www.curiouslabs.com and play around with it for a while. I have recently added Vue d'Esprit to my repertoire. Even though I still need some time to get to get the hang of it, I see that it is a sofware with an amazing potential. There is a free trial version at www.e-onsoftware.com. As a matter of fact, most products used by the Renderosity community can be downloaded as free trial versions, it is a great way of testing the product before making the decision to buy it. The Poser trial version is very limited compared to the full version, but it gives you a hint of what it's like anyway. A cool free software to check out is Terragen, a landscape modelling and rendering software. Check out the fantastic pics in the Terragen gallery here, be amazed, and download the program at: www.planetterragen.btinternet.co.uk. It is easy to use and you will get wondeful results that will get you hooked on 3D graphics! It happened to me ;-)
Thread: Would anyone be interested in this App? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This would be a great tool to have! I will probably change PC soon and is NOT looking forward to having to manually re-install every Poser character, prop, pose etc again!
