Correction: ...delete the FIGURE from the scene without saving it... Sorry, was typing too fast there!
Thread: Am i missing the point somewhere guys? (& Girls of course) :) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The texture will stay with the figure until it is changed again or until you delete it from the scene without saving it.

The texture file is located in the folder poserruntimetextures. Make a copy of it, open it in Photoshop and do any adjustments you want. Save it and load this new texture as the texture used by the character you are working with in Poser, using the "Materials" dialogue in the Render menu.
Thread: Vicky help needed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If I'm not totally mistaken, the free Vicky2 P4 model you can download from DAZ is the cr2 file only. You will still need the obj file to make it work. The download is for present Vicky 1 and 2 owners who needs a possibility to distribute the Vicky2 P4 cr2 to other Vicky owners.
Thread: Help with shadows... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A light in Poser has a dial setting for the shadow map size (named Map Size and located just below the Shadow dial). I haven't played around that much with it, but I think that increasing the shadow map size will even out the black blobs. At the cost of rendering time, of course.
Thread: newbie needing serious help | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Can you describe exactly how you are trying to do this, step per step. That will make it easier to spot any bad move that you are making and help you on a detailed level. A good idea might also be to load a texture automatically with the use of a MAT file and see if that also creates a problem. You should be able to find something somewhere in the free stuff section that uses a MAT file for texture setting. If you load the MAT file and the texture renders OK, you can look at the texture settings and see if that differs from what you are trying to do manually with other combinations of model/texture.

Which ones have you tried? The problem is that good models requires a lot of development resources, something that is reflected in the price tag of the resulting products. I doubt that we will ever see models like Michael and Victoria for free. They are simply to costly to develop. That is the simple truth. And frankly, considering the complexity of these models and the amount of work that must have been spent on development, the price is pretty reasonable.
Thread: File Types | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If a downloaded prop only consists of an .obj or a .3DS file, then they are created in another application. These file formats are compatible with Poser, but you need to import them before you can use them. They will not be accessible from the Poser standard menus (the right hand side menus) and consequently have no natural place in the poserruntime folder structure. Put the file wherever you want them on your HD. Import them to Poser using the Import command in the File menu, the dialog box that appears allows you to point to the desired file. The Poser user manual have a fairly good explanation on how to import in the Props section.
Thread: wireframe of victoria or a man | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That would be the texture template, arnal-fred. You can find it at DAZ's site, www.daz3d.com. Look in the store under 'Victoria'.
Thread: Three minutes silence in the EU just passed | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I totally agree, Henk, this was a wonderful demonstration of how much we support our friends that have suffered from this tragedy. I am located in a normally very busy office. During the three minutes we spent in silence, not a single telephone rang, meaning that other people obviously respected this manifestation as well. It was a very powerful feeling.
Thread: HELP!!! My body has fanished | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Have you checked in the Hierarchy Window if the body parts are visible or not? The little 'eye' icon by each body should be white. If it is gray, that body part is invisible in the main window.

You can find CR2Edit here: http://www.zenwareonline.com/cr2edit/cr2edit.html Unfortunately, it's not for free, but probably well worth the money if you are into editing cr2-files!
Thread: morphs | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Traveler had some great P4 female morphs at his site morphs.bbay.com. Most of them are not there anymore after he redesigned the site, but he still has some good tutorials for you to read.
Thread: How To Buy From DAZ Store....... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I always used VISA when shopping at DAZ, works fine. The e-mail to the sales dept at DAZ is sales@daz3d.com, other e-mail addresses can be found by clicking on the link "contact" on their front page.
Thread: problems with freely destributable vicki 2.0 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The Vicky 2 LE download is just the cr2 of the P4 Vicky 2 (has Vicky 2's head morphs, but not the body morphs). To use it, you still need the .obj file for the P4 Vicky 2, and that can only be obtained by buying Vicky 2. Vicky 2 LE is just a way to get around the fact that you can't distribute the regular Vicky 2 cr2, it is not a way to get a free Vicky.
