Which hair specifically are you using?... such as female hair 3, etc. so we can try it ourselves and help. Some special hair have materials that need to be set instead of the Preview material... sounds like you are setting the preview instead of the normal material used for render. Bill BBay.com

wyrwulf... Just the plain jane JPEG Optimizer 3.10.... so far... it's awesome and I've been using it a grand total of 2 hours since d/l it this afternoon... up to that point, I've been struggling with PSP5 trying to keep things reasonable. My thanks to smerc for putting me on to it in another thread. This thing blows everything else I've tried away... including Netmechanic and Gifbot. Maybe when I'm rich and famous, I can afford Disk Optimizer. Probably should have it though. With 75,046 files occupying 4651 folders on the server, one would think there must be two or three images that could use it. 8^] Bill BBay.com

Actually I agree 78K isn't big for a rendered piece of art, but as an announcement of something on the freestuff page, and thumbnails on the freestuff page... I think it's excessive and unnecessary. And you are right... color lose is not important here. I think people would rather spend thier time downloading files vs. d/l thumbnails. :-) Pose On!

Chris... I agree these are great and your downloads are super. I think what wyrwulf is getting at.. is the image you posted above is 78K and can be compressed somewhat to make your message load quicker and not sacrifice much quality. The following image is a compressed version of the one above and is 16K instead of 78K. Your Photoshop is only compressing JPG's 2% as per the image information I got using JPEG Optimizer http://xat.com/ (FREE btw) The image was reduced in about 20 seconds. It may help the images that you folks are submitting here and on the funstuff page. Keep up the good work, :-) Bill PS... Your FunStuff download file sizes seem fine.

Just received an email from Eric @ Shout3D. He says various commercial versions will be available for developers "soon" as soon as the partners are done with the Beta version testing. We SAW ya lurkin' around out there... and have been waiting to see somethin' 8^) I assume the lack of shadows beneath the figure indicates it was a background done in Bryce and pasted into Poser with no ground plane? spawn the morph target, delete the magnet, and dial the new "wide nose" parameter dial to 1.0 (with the "bumpy nose" parameter set at 0.00)...will give you the morph you want. With your new morph at 1.0 and bumping nose at .5 will be equal to double the bumpy nose. 8^)

Jim, Usually, for me anyway, when a morph target doesn't perform as expected... it turns out that I had another morph set above zero. The new morph target will also include anything else that is not set to the 0.00 position. If your heartshape face is set to .5 and you morph the forehead, your new morph will include the .5 setting. To test it... see what else is set above zero, reset to the negative value and apply your new morph... you will usually get the results you wanted. Morph Targets are a great way to combine multiple morphs into 1 setting... set up a face with 6 morphs, spawn a morph, and set the others to zero again. Good Luck.... is that what you ment? Bill
