Haven't played with it much yet, but seems pretty awesome.

Here's what Terragen can do in about 10 minutes.  I'm going to render a figure without a background in Reality and put them together to see how it looks. 

What's the best option for making my own terrain that I can use in Daz?  I have an idea for a desert scene but don't have a desert, so I attempted to make something in Bryce and failed miserably.  I'm trying to learn that program but it hurts my brain it's so user unfriendly (compared to Daz). 

I grabbed Terragen and it makes some nice images that can be used as a background, but no way to place it in Daz.

Vue looks amazing, btu I have no idea what the learning curve is on that. 

Suggestions?

This started out as a DOF screw up (forget to change the focus when I moved the camera) but I liked the effect so I messed with the lighting to accentuate it.

Whenever I have no other ideas, I fall back to the classic half-naked woman.

Reality 3 has full access to procedural textures and I just added texture math for both grayscale and color textures. For example, you can mix (multiply) a light blue with a texture, and the subtract a shade of red from the mix. The effects are crazy good and they open the door to adding supports for complex shaders. 

Of course this is all done Reality style: point-and-click simple and with a gorgeous preview.

Okay, here's another one and it came out better than I expected.  But still not too happy with it. 

Totally uninspired this past week.  Had a few renders that I started and scrapped and a few ideas I thought were good that didn't come out how I wanted. This is one of them.  

I have no idea what to do next, can someone give a me a promt or challenge to get me going?

Been in a Star Wars mood since the big news last week (still not sure how I feel about that news). 

If anyone knows where to find some decent Star Wars freebies please share. Haven't been having much luck with that.  I found a nice looking Stormtrooper outfit but it's a major pain in the ass to get it to fit to any characters.

What is that set? I could really use that, looks just like what I had pictured in a script I wrote a while ago.

Insane speeds with just the IBL and no other lighting (and one Genesis with hair and no clothes).  750 kS/s at 105% Eff.  My average complex scene lately has been running at 20-30 kS/s.
