Update...

The Seagate is ready. We nipped in the wonderful Derelict Barn item first (post is here)

For initial launch of the Seagate we have the Vue5 file. This was too big for a Renderosity submition. We will have it available at our new site this week though, here.

The poser library setup has been made and is undergoing final testing. It will also be available by the weekend. (we'll post here with links).

We'll look into ways of getting the Seagate into Renderosity friendly packs.

Many Renderosity user like to wait for the Poser files, but the Vue5 file can be purchased from Cornucopia now, here

Please do credit us in gallery listings so we can appear on the League Table one day.

Many Thanks to Mr.Sparky at VP for getting the poser packs sorted.

VP are an ENORMOUS help with preping files for sale. Do go there to buy to reward their labours.

It will be submitted to Renderosity ASAP for those who like to keep their purchases in one place, but it will be at least 2 weeks before it appears.

Don't forget to credit us in the gallery. It's all important now with the new gallery league table (great idea Renderosity by the way).

Blimey, poser it is then!

Just finished the poser library setup. It will be tested and 'poserised' (P4 and geometry extraction) next week then submitted to sites, so expect to see a link here in the next few days.

Real buildings are a speciallity of ours for real cast and hand painted hobby models. We do hope the barn goes well. We've got about 1,000gb of reference photos of other items!

Hi All

The Seagate is ready to roll. It's a massive model so we were having trouble getting under Renderosity's download limit in any form. It will be available from our website this week, once the digital delivery system has been finanlised.

The Seagate will be available next week from www.darkanvil.net as Vue5 for $19.95 or Poser for $19.95. We'll do an obj version soon.

We'll look into ways of dividing it up so we can sell it at Renderosity.

Looks like we better pull our fingers out and do the Poser version of the barn! We'll post here when it is done.

We started to submit separate packs for the different softwares as the packs were getting too large with everything in.

It was also taking too long to prepare every format in one go. The vue file was often ready to go, but delayed waiting for some lazy sausage (errr, me) to get the poser files sorted.

We'll keep reviewing the situation and do what's best.

Hi from Dark Anvil

There was a bit of confusion with the Wizards Tower. My friends at Vanishing Point who assist with poser setups now, didn't realise the Wizards Tower is marked exclusive on Renderosity.

It will be inactive if you try to find it on VP.

All our other products are there on VP, and you can get the P4 setups exclusively at VP.

We are a commercial organisation at heart and I just wanted the gallows to be a fun freebie for people to play with and see what we are about, so didn't tick the commercial box.

Dark Anvil is much more than one person. So far it includes 8 people, all specialist in some field, from far up the Northern Hemisphere, right down to Aus. A truly global effort.

We do aim to keep prices down on the items for paid download that can be used in commercial renders.

Have Fun, unless you're English of course, as we just lost in the World Cup...on penalties...again! Grrr

Miss Nancy, this is an older item, i.e. done by me! People who are more knowledgeable on poser are envolved now. Hopefully you'll see an improvement all round. We will re-poserize the gallows and post here when the update freebie is available. It is free, but I don't like to think of folk having problems.

Phantast, what was wrong with the readme. Again this is a free product but it does follow the format of our paid products so I'm interested to know.

Did you follow a link from there or was the actual file there. It may have got corrupted.

Try downloading it from the original link. Go to www.darkanvil.net and scroll down to Free models for Poser.

Please also check that you have gallows.pp2 and gallows.pmd in the runtime/library/ foilder that you placed the gallows in.

If it still does not work can you let me know if the morph dials appear.

It was set up in English P6 so it should work.

Finished

1st render. Imported to vue and spent only 5 minutes on the scene. This is what you can achieve.

We'll post some release dates and prices here soon. Expect 2 to 3 weeks for product packing and testing.

It's a big model, as you can see. The emphasis has been on high quality. Users with low RAM may need to arrange scenes with boxes first and replace with the model for rendering, or render in layers. I have no trouble on this machine, but it does have 1.5gb of RAM.

If you pay he/she and they agree to assign all rights, which most sculptors will, then it is yours.

The link is to our post advertising our various other services in the products forum. I neglected to mention that bit. Sorry.

It isn't a cheap alternative for one item. But if you really want that sculpture of your own model then it may interest somebody, and multiple castings become much cheaper, so you can give them to your friends, or sell them of course.

Which poser versions are you using that it doesn't work in?

It was set up in the English P6.

I think we did this before the days of cleaning it up for use in P4 too. I say 'I think'. So much is happening!
