Brilliant! I've been looking for (free) shoes for V3 for weeks! Thanks ever so much!

Three boy cats here - one short-haired black (Daemon), one fluffy black (Twit), one fluffy ginger (Sinbad). Also four dogs - 3 collie types (Max, Eclipse & Hobbit), one collie/black lab cross (Cain). Also one cockerel (Chirac). The name isn't really a reflection of my political views, it's just we had to call him something, and that stuck! Hopefully, 3 hens arriving this week or next, to keep him company.

Those of us who grow our own red hair appreciate this concerted and persistent effort to popularise the colour. Move over blondes! For too long have we redheads been cowering in your shade.. ;)

Well, I get ebots, but didn't get March's newsletter - and today I got 2 copies of April's...weird, huh?

As far as I can tell, the Adobe ImageReady 'save optimised' and Photoshop's 'aave for web' are identical in function and result - at least they give the same results on my puter - YMMV!

Just a heads up that discussions about various aspects of the competition are also taking place in the Bryce and Poser fora (not sure if there are any elsewhere, 'cos I haven't looked!). Perhaps the mods might want to move them all to here, or the contest forum? It's getting a bit confusing! (If they are moved, can a mod let us know where to, please?)

Yeah, I often have similar probs in my job (web design), so I know what you mean. Seeing as I seem to making a nest in this thread, I thought I might as well ask for clarification on another point whilst I'm here. When the rules say ONLY the word 'Renderosity' and ONLY the word 'Marketplace' - does that mean that there shouldn't be any additional text, as there is at present - the URL, or 'online graphic artist's community' (or any variation on the above)? I know what the rules SAY, but have some doubt about what they MEAN! Not sure if I'm just easily confused, but I seem to be having pronblems understanding quite a few aspects of this comp - hopefully I'm just putting into words what others would like to ask,too, and not just being denser than the rest...

I wouldn't think so - the link from the comp. page gives you the word 'Renderosity' in black and white versions of the font. Download the pic, then just cut 'n paste it into whatever you're using (shouldn't be that difficult in PSP or PhotoShop). Not sure what we're supposed to do with 'Marketplace' though...

Me again..lol...just been looking a that font, and the 'Y' in the R'osity logo is non-standard - it's been changed from the original version of the font (presumably for reasons of balance)- so even if you purchase it, you won't get an exact match...

What I do (in ImageReady) is to size the pic (I gave up on teaser thumbs when I read that some people disapprove of them, and won't view pics unless the entire thing is in the thumb - still don't understand why, but there ya go!)so that the largest dimension is 200 pixels, and then change the jpeg quality to 'medium' - usually comes out around 5 - 6k that way. Then again, my images are rarely above 800 pixels in any direction - I like them to fit on to my screen! Hope tht helps, too! :)

I asked this question over on the Forum News forum, but in case it gets overlooked - I'll ask it again here! The rules state that entries will be anonymous. They also stipulate that the artist's signature should appear on two of the graphics. How will this work? I'm a bit confused by it...

"Yes, Renderosity has my permission to use my artwork from my art gallery for promotional use only". Although there's only one pic there that I actually like! LOL!

Just one leetle question... The rules stipulate that the entries will be anonymous - but also that two of the images should sport the artist's signature. How does that work, then?
