I think another thing that goes a long way toward the realism is the model's face.
It has lines and buldges. You can actually see cheekbones and the jawbone
and the "parenthesis" around the mouth. And the nose looks like a nose,
not something a plastic surgeon would make. The only odd thing is one
stocking top is wider than the other. The toes don't look quite right either.
The room itself is even more realistic. (From the thread I got the idea it is
CGI too) The bad paint on the trim is an excellent touch.

Quote - I adjusted the lights. I added a figure from the library and the textures look good on it, but the prop still looks black.
Thanx anyway.
It sounds like your normals are reversed. Check to see your normals are forward.
Go to the material room, click on your object, and at the bottom of the PoserSurface
box put a checkmark in the Normals_Forward box.

When this happens to me I save the scene, close down Poser, re-open Poser, and reload
the scene and that seems to fix it. Some how something in Poser seems to get corrupted while
it is running and the only way to fix it is to stop and restart the program.

I think someone has a cat confused with a dog. I've had male cats and none of them ever
peed on something in that position.

Quote - Bum, boobies and fornication.
Just thought I'd make the multiple advisories worthwhile.
Why do people use the advisories tag incorrectly? To get attention?
Probably just a noob who doesn't know any better.

I have found if you enable Texture Filtering, you will get better results.
You will see a lot of people advising you to turn off Texture Filtering,
but they do that to render faster and use less memory. But if you
want good looking hair, sometimes you do need Texture Filtering
to be enabled. Try it and see if it helps. If it doesn't help you
can always turn it off again.

Quote - There were a few really well done ones, like the Coke animations. The bud commercials were pretty good as well, as usual.
I liked the Coke one where the animated tough guy is giving people free Cokes.
It seemed sort of Poserish.

Quote - Turn texture filtering off.
Are you sure about this? Because for several of Kozaburo's hairsets
he recommends that Texture Filtering be turned ON. And I have found
that they indeed do look better with Texture Filtering set to ON.

Quote - I go back to waiting in line to feed punch cards into a stack, then waiting in another room for someone to throw your output into a numbered bin. Fun, it was. That and "washing machine" disk drives, that could sometimes hold a whopping six megabytes of data. Those were definitely the days.
LOL, me too, that was my first experience with computer. Writing programs in Fortran
and putting the program on a stack of punch cards for an IBM 360. Turning the cards
in and then coming back the next day for the paper print-out. Then repunching
the cards that were wrong and resubmitting it. And you dare not drop the stack
of cards.

Quote - Raises hand I have a question...or two!!! I apologize in advance because I feel like being the cantankerous old cow that I am.... :)))
Is "buttocks cleft" the same thing as "plumber's butt/crack"? What about "Daisy Duke" shorts right up the wazoo? Are pasties considered "nudity"?
What about man-boobs?? Why aren't men's nipples & areolas supposed to be covered?? Talk about sex discrimmination...... :))))) ;)
I once saw a TV show where some men were in a swimming pool. One of the men was
Gay, and they did pixilate his nipples, but didn't pixilate the nipples of the straight men.
(Though I think they may have been doing this for a comedy effect)
