Wow! Can't believe it. She was an awesome artist and always had encouraging and supportive words for my works. Great lady, and I will miss her.

Quote - Hehe - well technically it is the UFO's that fly kort ;)
Thought i would put in something which wasnt a plane... missed the focus slightly and missed the framing a bit with this one... would have been a lucky shot getting him right... i was shooting blind on fixed manual focus anyway.
I hope you ducked right after you clicked that one. Nice shot none-the-less imo.

I translated most of the pages. I don't see anything on there for "purchase", etc.
I agree about the infringement. I don't dig it either. I could write them and try to get through to them in English and see what if anything they will do about it. Sometimes that just becomes more stress then it's worth.
I have had this issue a lot in the past. I used to have a website for all my FREE NHL desktop wallpapers. I had the site for 4-5 years. I had to eventually close it due to people printing my work out and selling them on ebay as "One of a kind" NHL images. Ebay gave me NO help after repeated attempts to contact them, I had to write the guy about 5 times before he removed my stuff. He never did reply to me. Found another on ebay Russia doing the same thing.
It sucks but its back to that balance. Either leave images up on the www for people to see and hope they don't get stolen, or compromise the look of the image with a HUGE watermark. I think we all are between a rock and a hard place with this stuff. I don't know the answers to it either.
Besides all that, I don't have the $ to hire a lawyer, or deal with people outside the USA.... Its all a big mess.

Part II
After looking around more at that Russian site, they have a ton of my 3d artwork there as well. Like 30 pics. But odd that Tineye didn't show those at all. !?
As long as that site isn't selling my stuff, I guess its cool.
This is only one page of my Dark art. They have another with same amount of my landscapes.

None of mine come up in Rendo.
20 photos of mine are on some Russian site. It looks a bit like a site to share images on and get comments. I can't get Google to find the entire URL to translate the whole page at once. Had to copy text and trans. it pieces at a time.
sperli.net/2007/10/30/prosto_prekrasnye_foto..html
I also installed the Tineye Plug-in for my Firefox. And found that it can still find images using a cropped thumbnail. Doesn't have to be the whole image.
Interesting find Rich, thanks for sharing.
Thread: Keeping EXIF info | Forum: Photography
Along these lines.. Anyone use Corel Photo-paint 12 or X3? I recently had a PC crash, had to reformat. I have Corel 8, but its so old I think its time to update.
Wondering if CPP 12 can handle RAW images and also the exif data, as 8 doesn't.
I can get 12 for about 40$ cheaper on ebay than x3. If they basically are the same.. I will save the $ and go with 12.
Thanks for any info.

It always blows me away, the quality of photographers that are here at this site. I am humbled to be part of this LWitG. Some really well deserving shots in there, as always.
Thanks guys!

Right up my alley. A few of them are really nice. I would love to capture some lightning one day. But here in Cal. we have very few thunder/lightning storms.
Thanks for the link.

Quote - Well NightGallery. I have just had a look at your gallery. The photos you are taking are amazzing. If they are with the 18-55mm kit lens. Then I wonder what you could WOW us with, with this new lens I have!
Thanks. I am using the kit lens and also have the lower end 75-300 and the 50mm 2.5 macro. Looking to get an EF Life-size off ebay for the 50mm. But they sell quick and still a bit pricey for me for a used.

Thread: OT - Which Browser Do You Use? | Forum: Photography
I use Firefox 99% of the time. I only use IE when a site won't work right with FF. Never tried any of the others. But I really tend to only surf to the same 20-30 sites anymore. And for that FF works great for me.

Attached Link: CD Data Recovery
Tom, i dont know if you have tried some recovery programs. But I had luck one time using the linked one. Although my issue was a CD that my PC had a hard time even reading. It did allow me to get 90% of the files off the CD.I understand your situation is diff. But might be worth a shot. I believe you can try it as a trial still. Thats what i used.
I myself back up to DVD/CD. I am thinking of going to an external HD too.

Thread: Sensor cleaning at home..do you do it? I am tempted. | Forum: Photography
I haven't had to do it myself yet. My EOS and the self cleaning has done well alone. But from posts I have seen on other sites about cleaning the sensor themselves. Most all say the same thing. They were freaked out to do it the first time, now its no big deal and have had no probs.
My thought, if you can handle learning an SLR, you can learn to clean your own sensor without major issues...lol
