lol@melanie. Rattler, while your real smiles do look better, there is still something wrong with the teeth. Maybe if we texture in a gum line above the teeth it will look better. I might try that.

I hate hearing news like this. His outfits were truly imaginative and expertly finished. people need to stop with the greedy leachy attitude and take a moment to understand what it means to give something to the community intstead, especially something that has obviously been created with most care and attention to quality. I am truly sorry for what has happened to him and hope he goes onto something better and more fulfilling.

hmmm, took a look in the mirror. Really when you smile big your whole face from the eyes down move. Cheeks go up, eyes squint a little, lips definately raise the bigger the smile and are pulled tighter, and the chin muscles contract among some of the more obvious things. so there is a lot going on there.

I agree you can get away with it when it is a closed smile, but for those beautiful (in real life anyway) big exhuberant smiles, vici is definately lacking. The cheecks and top lip doesn't move right. I think when you smile it raises slightly. With have to get a mirror out and take notice of what happens with different types of smiles. Thing is, I really like the lip shape I came up with (in top pic). I don't want to mess with the shape too much other than morphing it into expressions. I love the smiles that Stephen Stahlberg does, they look so nice, a little like Cameron diaz type of smile IMO.

I can almost understand why victoria hardly ever smiles LOL just doesn't look right. Maybe I need to start making my own morphs for this, might start collecting reference smiley material :) oopps theres one! LOL

yunno rudipooimf is right. I browsed the galleries yesterday evening, and found that I was passing over a hell of a lot of pics. Usually the ones with a face in the thumb that says to me, "another portrait". I am guilty of doing this myself. I haven't posted in a while now because I'm bored with that kind of image. I have seen and done a million head shots of Vic and for me its tired. on the other hand this is still new to others and I'll give them that. Anyway yesterday I found myself clicking on the thumbnails that showed something different, a more involved scene or something that stands out, I also noticed that some of them didn't have very many comments. Maybe its an evolution the "artist" has to go through to move to something more.

I have had this happen to me too. When I was typing in the message box, I went to go back to fix a type and it wouldn't let me. I noticed the ad.doublclick in the status bar. I had to refresh the screen so the add would go away. I think this should be fixed too, but it doesn't look like a priorety on Rendo's scale. Come on Renderosity, fix it!
