I have made you some stuff.....I am just figuring on how to get them to you.
The attachment feature does not take RAR's....
Thread: RetouchCreative.com - Anyone used it? | Forum: Photoshop
I would say not "worth it".
Simply because I could see nothing on that particular site to influence my decision to buy!
However, I guess if there is something you see that is specific to your needs then it may tempt you to put your hand in your pocket...lol

Basically, as previously mentioned the layer mask helps you to alter the appearance of an image without destructing it.
The layer mask is useful for removing any unwanted parts of an image. You will need to be continually altering the size and softness/hardness of your brush to access various areas of your image. By selecting WHITE from your foreground/background palette you will be able to restore parts of your image which have been accidently covered by your BLACK brush.
Lunarcore do a nice little explantory tutorial which will help you.

OK....thats my lecture over..lol
Grass in real life is 3 dimensional, light passes through it and individual pieces of grass are fairly fragile to get some authenticity into your work you need to reflect some of these aspects.
If you duplicate your grass layer once, twice maybe three times it should (if you are using a quality brush) begin to take on a life of its own.
I have knocked up a couple of quick examples using my own GRASS ABR, just to give you some idea on how things can look.
Thanks to my friends over at CG ( the professional artists lifeline) for backgrounds...

In my opinion I think your image works just fine as it is. Also, to effectively destruct the buildings would require the building alone to be imported into PS then a lot of eraser and overlay work being applied to that part of the image in order to get somewhere like.
In the end I think the detail of the destruct would be kinda lost in the overall scheme of things.
Maybe, someone else has some ideas of how you can achieve your objective without to much hassle?

Your spot on buddy....yep, I did use the DODGE tool....just forgot to mention it,lol.
Well I guess you could try the SMUDGE method or maybe even some GAUSSIAN blur. I think its all about trial and error and of course some patience along the way...hehe.
Maybe make several pieces overall and then fit them together to achieve your goal???

Try this, make your shawl and position it where you want. Then take the BURN tool and set it to HIGHLIGHTS, drop the OPACITY of the burn tool to make softer folds and increase it to make harsher folds. Also, make sure you have your brush set at the softest point.
My image shows the type of effect you may be looking for?

Anyway, this is what I knocked up for you....once you have your gradient folds you can manipulate them by using the warp tool or whatever else you want to use to drape the whole thing around your model. Don't forget cloth is generally a very soft medium this must be reflected in your work to make it look realistic.
The cloth on your model has way to many pronounced folds maybe just one or two would work!
