I have been using Vue Pro for about 2 months now... but it does "crash" frequently... The app continues to function but all the view windows close, but the layer list and previous image remain... Click on the layer list and it reverts to "new state"...Did this once while I was tring to save my work... Very annoying, however I uninstalled Bryce (never quite liked the image output and hated how I had to get Poser figures in) and will continue to use Vue Pro because I prefer the output, interface, vegatation, and poser integration. mes

This probably isn't the thread for this, but... 1) Preview render modes (like Vue/Bryce) 2) When you press cancel on a render, it actually cancels and doesn't hang the machine 3) Single frame export of dynamic cloth/hair to Vue without mover 4) Enhanced content management... The ability to mark items as commercial/non-commercial, assign key words, search engine/db; I hate having to bring up MS explorer to do a search of my content... 5) Increased speed... 6) More efficient memory management... 7) Full (and official support from CL) of DAZ CR2 Hacks (MAT Pose, Injections, etc) 8) Real light system 9) Stability, Stability, Stability
Thread: Poser 4/5 to Vue D'esprit 4 ????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
2 Sacred Rose: Not a problem.. Like I stated I've only had the program since December.. Still learning... I was hoping that someone might correct me.. Do you have a work around for the multiple figures with same material names? Thanks.

I guess that didn't answer your question. Yes it transfers textures/transmaps/bumps Yes it is easier than bryce :)
Thread: Poser 4/5 to Vue D'esprit 4 ????? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I picked up Vue 4.2 d'espirit in December and the Poser5 import works. Caveats. 1) Importing a scene (pz3) with multiple figures (ie two v3's) with the same material names seems only imports one.. 2) If you use multiple runtimes you have to copy all the geometry directories to the main "default" installed runtime. 3) Cannot muck with the materials after they are imported.. 4) I have had greater success (especially on hair) using P4/PP settings as opposed to p5 specific settings. 5) Otherwise very happy with the import process.... Have a good one mes
Thread: Daz3d Issue - M3 Installation M2 Preservation? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The installer is looking for the .obj for Mike2 you could copy it to your "temporary" directory (whole path i.e. tempdirruntimegeometriesetc.... Run DAZ3D installer, point it at your temp dir... It installs, do your renaming, copy them where you want... Had to do the same thing using multiple runtimes under P5. I have an M3 and a V3 directory devoted only to them and didn't want all the M2/V2 baggage.... Have a good evening :)
