It is a good one, thanks. I already d/ld from 3DC as it is already posted there, and it fits into the ROS scheme very nicely.

Try at http://posetteforever.com/ in the free d/ls...I think I saw some there. Registration is necessary to d/l I think but is free and it is a good site for those still using the P4NW [Posette].

Not a lot in my gallery but everything there is open for your use...feel free to grab --- staple --- spindle or mutilate!

c1rcle: Try NeoPlanet as a substitute for IE, it has an interface compatible with IE friendly sites w/o all the open port BS. It is free at neoplanet.com. I have used it now as an IE substitute for over 3 years...it has crashed on me only a couple of times.

When I first got the program it sat in the box for 2 weeks while I tried to devour the manual...this only led to confusion when I finally intalled the program. The manual is only effective as referance -- not suited well to learning. Read the forums on various sites, seek out tutorials, ask questions....Play with the basic figures that come with the program b4 getting caught up in the packrat syndrome of downloading everything in sight. Actually, go ahead and d/l to your heart's content...just save all that stuff until you feel comfortable with the basic learning process.
Thread: Okay I forget can someone tell me again the rules on linking to rotica? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Please do not link to Curious Labs from this site...they sell software that contains nude figures and does not carry an ADULTS ONLY warning label. Having our children obtain their sex education from computer software is not nice; they will make naughty pictures and grow up to be perverts. They will then post those pictures at that other R site that has all those freedoms...other kids who lie about their ages to look at nasties will then become corrupt..Oh my gawd, is the 3d world to become an anarchy surrounded by chaos. The bottom line is that only Nekkid Peeple will be used from then on...this site will close down because nobody is buying clothes sets. Wake up people, judgement day is upon us! If you think this all sounds stupid....read the TOS.

I finally got it. I use Netscape7 not IE, so I switched over to my secondary browser, NeoPlanet and had no problem.

This is a great looking prop scene...never knew I needed a couthouse scene until I saw this. Gotta have...gotta have.

I agree on the hi-pricing structure on certain items...just too costly for the average user who requires the purchase of more than one item at any given time. Of course, as pointed out a lot of this has to do with the profit margin needed to make it worthwhile. The watchword here is competitive shopping. I have seen instances where a lot of items are available at other sites at lower cost than the Renderosity store...due to other sites allowing the merchant to keep a bigger cut of the profit. A few merchants in the past have even discovered selling at their own site has helped pay the extra bandwidth and still give them a marginal profit. [Probably this is in regard to unique items of a specific nature, and not items that the market is already flooded with...i.e., loin cloths, etc.]
Thread: New Poser book in the works... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sounds great as there has never really been such a book on the market. Please don't sell Poser4 users short while conentrating heavily on P5 & 6... there are still a lot of P3 and P4 users out here seeking good info in one volume. If Sham's book sold 6,000 copies...then there are 6K customers up front wanting a good book. With all the bad publicity his book gets this means a Poser information hungry crowd just waiting for yours. Happy writing and good luck.

Also check out Geralday's site [search for Geralday on the freestuff board] he has a lot of low res clothes, characters and props available.

Melanie reported the same thing I have heard forever...the one not to buy is the Mortier book. I think the thing costs nearly $50. at Amazon. If you feel you have to have it try eBay for a used copy. You can learn more from hanging out at forums and asking questions, reading tutorials here and at other places than you will learn from any book on the market.
Thread: Kozaburo and Quarker... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I will be watching for the interviews...and I don't believe that Koz will be dragged into the great dollar-signs in the sky race. He is a craftsman who gains satisfaction from creating and seein his work displayed on the majority of gallery postings. As for all the rest covered here: I am satisfied with Poser4 and have enough characters, props, etc., archieved to keep me playing for a long time without having to spend more big-$$s to keep up with the Joneses. I honor any creator's decision to go from free to market, unless it is due to pressure from the big stores based on greed.

I am still getting the Login with Password dialog box on 2 different browsers...Question to the people who are having no problems getting the files: Are you registered at the site, and do you get these Login requests? I have heard on other sites also of folks having problems. I don't have XP or a working firewall so know it isn't that. Since Bat has his store here at RO I wish he would just put his stuff on freebie board here on a limited basis with a direct link.
Thread: BatLabs new offering | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sometime ago when he started doing the limited thing he required a sign in-password....I had to get mine reset 5 times in less than a year so just gave up. That is not why I jumped in here though. On the page with the free Reina face file is an animation that is worth looking at. Nice smooth movement even at full screen, but is rather a large file.
