I love this place. I'm new to hanging out in the Forums but I've been using Poser for a litle over 2 years. I started with P1 lent from a co-worker (no, really) and immediately went out and bought P4. I've been so obsessed with modelling and texture maps that I never really messed with the lights that much (I generally export to Bryce). I've often grumbled to myself about this same problem and just assumed it was inherent with the program. Thank you all for these tips.

It may be asking a bit much, but I don't suppose we can look forward to a Mac version of this in the future? Anybody?

When I first started using Bryce (1.0, back in the caveman days) I was so obsessed with it that I spent literally all my free time with it, which was a lot since I was unemployed. One overcast Seattle day I was walking down the street and instinctively reached for a mouse to adjust the sky to turn down the haze so I could see Mt. Ranier better. I figured it was time to read a book, or bake some bread or ... anything else, for just a while. At least you were dreaming.

Oh, and P.S.: the gstone above was me. I forgot I logged off and logged back in under my older username which I'm about to delete.

Because he really IS violating copyrights. I merely aided in the translation of his bulls***. I'm NOT siding with him. If my work were on there I'd be contacting him and requesting that he immediately remove my images. Sorry I didn't make my intentions clearer.

See the statute for yourself. I recommend becoming familiar with these laws. See paragraphs 3 and 4.Thread: Sources for hi-res people textures? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I used to be a copyright specialist at an often-sued copy company that we won't name here but you all know who it is, and both points are valid. The cutting up and re-using for derivative works would come under the heading of "fair use" in most cases. Imagine an eight-year old kid cutting up magazine pictures to make a collage for school... copyright infringement or art project? If for personal use there is almost no grounds for action at all; if for resale there might be some grey areas dependant the individual situation. But back to my original question: where do the other folks here get their resource images? Its apparent that many of the lips and eyes I see here are from fashion models, I was just wondering if there was a commonly known online source, perhaps a jealously guarded secret depot, or if it was just catch as catch can. Thanks all.

Thanks for the input, Rex. I have a decent camera (Canon A20, 2.1 megapixels) but models are not quite lining up at my door just yet. Fashion mags are a great idea, but (I'll admit it) I don't have a scanner yet.
