I guess the vacum is r2 d2's grand father LOL. Great work on the trouper kit. What do you need to use it... Is it a M4 kit?

I would love to see and read more about the developments regarding the project as I too am trying to develop an indoor scene but using a kitchen as my subject.
Thread: 2.49b stable or 2.55Beta? | Forum: Blender
The great thing with blender is that it is forever expanding in a positive manner and there is no real limit to what you can do. It is also expandable with python plugins and the window setup can be totaly re-arranged to your needs wether it be modeling, texturing or animation and can also use poser files.
I also have hexagon, bryce7pro and carrara7pro (and several others) and as yet I have not found anything in the other modellers that blender can't perform (though I too am still a new boy in the blender field "8 months").
Thread: 2.49b stable or 2.55Beta? | Forum: Blender
Personally I would suggest 2.49 because most tutorials including books, videos and ebooks refere to or can be used directly with 2.49. 2.55beta is a major step up from the older version and several hotkeys etc have been changed dramatically, also there are very few (at this moment in time) tutorials refering to 2.55beta.

You need to split your window setup into for views each being front, side, top etc and then load the required image into each view seperatly.
Hope that helps.

looking at your past projects Helgard.
That i have thankfully installed to poser6 and your most recent "Cobra" piece it makes me very proud that you have offered and I will place your offer in the definite list should I walk into any issues... I just wouldn't mind knowing how you manage to turn out your models so quickly.

Thank you for your comments chaps it really does make me feel good.
Hopefully once it has been completed I will try to develop it into a poser figure so that others can use it without too many issues... just have to do my poser homework... it is almost like being back at school again LOL.

Thread: Kitchen Bar Stool Freebie | Forum: Freestuff
Hello everyone.
I just thought I would let you know that I have updated the Kitchen Bar Stool download file to include just the "Wavefront obj". This sadly is due to several people moaning about the original file download being too large. The reason for the large size was essentially because of the bryce obp version.
I am sorry if I have caused any issues with anyone for this error in file size and shall continue to release my models in obj format only.
Yours sincerely...
Ian...

For what you are trying to do I think it would be easier to create the cube in the modelling room and then UV map it. Export the UV map and create the texture via an external image editor then load the completed texture to your cube.
But that is just the way I would do it my self. If you have any issues with UV mapping etc I would be happy to help you out by creating it for you.
