Thread: bryce 5 and photoshop filters | Forum: Bryce
google and download and install this file... MSVCRT10.DLL , unzip into c/windows/system folder. create a folder on desktop called "bryce filters" or whatever, copy/paste plugins and filters you want to use with bryce into this folder...fire up bryce and go through the load plugins process in terrain or 2D objects editor...worked perfectly the first try! good luck!

Agree with FranOnTheEdge...I personally don't have the free time to commit to learning every detailed aspect of model creation and such. Learning to navigate around any 3D program is very difficult for most people, and I am no exception.
Most tuts become a blurr to me...so it's trial and error (which I find more fun). Discovering how to accomplish a task, or just tinkering around can be very gratifying...especially when the result is not what you were shooting for,but better!
I have had Bryce 5 for more than a year now...will continue to use freebies and such, and refuse to feel guilty for being a Newbie with limited knowledge and talent.
My suggestion for a monthly challenge>>> EGO...no PW, no imported models (Poser and all other apps included) only Bryce textures and materials.

Got rid of that virus!..and got Mozilla/Firefox browser. Basically after numerous high tech attempts at resolving my problem, we figgered it out. Basically, created a new log in name, completely disabled Internet Explorer, restart PC and re-scan everything...did that about three times (restart and rescan)and finally got rid of it. NOW I can spend more time on other things (Bryce, for one). Was almost to the point of clean installing my OS,but something had to work!.

Thanks for the encouraging comments!...agreed about the sea floor, also. Going to add some plantlife, and probably completely re-do the sea floor. Have lights inside the jellies, and one rradial light around the Manta ray and school of fish. Still getting used to grouping and families. Will take all of your very helpful ideas ( might try my hand at the 2d terrain editor and the 3d one also). Be back in about 2 days with, hopefully, a more realistic scene!

Hey drawbrigdep!..since you are living in Indiana, you should try out one of those tasty Indiana delicasies, "brain sammiches". MMMMMMM.......not sure if they will increase the IQ, but it will leave you with a special taste in yer pie hole! :o)
