You can always change the colour scheme to suit your tastes anyway - mine has been neutral greys since before the last logo was in place! :)

I have seen it now, and it causes me no offence - nicely executed graphic, professionally done. There were far more quality entries that I would have expected to be honest, and equally there were far too many rehashes of the current set - I would have gone with something a little more arty or individual dor my own tastes, but respect to the winner! :)

Havent seen the winner yet, and It's a shame it wasn't the cartoon TV - that was my favourite, but nonetheless, don't be arseholes and slag the winner off - whether you or I like it is not important, but have some respect for the person who did win and don't insult them!

The files don't need any conversion - a jpg is a jpg, an eps is an eps etc, the CD's just need burning in a format dumb old PC's can read, and that requires any half decent CD burning software - they are not expensive. The person having the problems is most likely using the standard Apple 'Burn Disc' option, which as far as I know, offers no options for alternative formats.

Roxio Toast burns CD's from a Mac in all formats, including ISO9660/Joliet etc which are PC formats. I send files to printers and studios with Macs & PC's and never had any problems. Failing that - at 1.5-2Mb a shot, why not just email the files over?

For future reference, and quality, you'd be far better to create any maps that you want to make into lattices with a proper image editor, and import the greyscale map!

{Amapi and Carrara, for modeling at present....out the door went Maya, Lightwave, Cinema4D,} That amazes me, I find Amapi one of the daftest and illogical interfaces I have ever seen! - never liked Carrara much either, but Cinema, in contrast is laid out so simply and clearly, and I found the transition for Bryce to C4D the least painful!.. different strokes for different folks I guess! :)

{There is no proof or facts in a post in a forum. facts come from the source Kromekat. } That's right - and the press release that was linked to here previously was about Corel's situation and future plans. I don't remeber the link, but I am sure someone can dig it up for your benefit if they can be bothered. You don't need to be a brain surgeon to realise that Corel didn't give much effort to Bryce in the first place, and they certainly havent done anything since to suggest any interest whatsoever, so if their financial future is in question (which it is) they will obviously cease speding any 'further' time on it. This can only be a good thing, as it wll hopefully bring the app up for sale, and place it in the hands of a more creative team, but if not, oh well, it still works fine as it is.

Somebody dig out the recent posts about Corel for weezer! I am not personally 'worrying' about it - it's neither here nor there whether Corel drop Bryce, they are obviously not working on it's future - both 4 and 5 still work fine for me and are used regularly. The point being made in this thread is that at $79 it's a bargain regardless of it's future development or shelving.
