I liked the first (gold toned) much better but they are both excellent. I speak zero French but I'm sure nothing will be lost in translation. Good luck! jackie

At least you didn't make your wife stand in the middle of the highway! Seriously, this is very cool.

Thread: Crop question...again, new image. | Forum: Photography
As a gift for a friend I have taken her cat and cropped it all up. I'm making parts of it into 3 photos for a frame with 3 slots. One is just her eyes, one is her nose and whiskers and one is the bottom of her paw in macro. Each section looks pretty cool by itself. I do like what Doug did to your already great photo because it cleaned up the background.

My scope is a basic Celestron 14mm Newtonian. Used the 20mm lens. The camera is a Sony F717 Cyber-Shot in macro. No fixes/postwork (tape?). Tripod on the telescope only. Took about 6 pics, only one came out decent. Although Jupiter is close and clearly visible, I could not even see it through the camera.

I like #17 best. I would not make up her face/lips so much because she looses too much innocence.

My favorite example of the 3D/Photo combo. Had to share this one. It is becoming ever popular.Thread: Monthy Challenge-Social Issues | Forum: Photography
It made me sick too! I did get some great shots of the good side of life while I was there (A couple are posted on this site) but I was compelled to take one of the garbage floating down river just the same. I had this and a few more that I though I would never do anything with because they are so "ugly". When I finally figured out this whole monthly challenge thing, I thought "this is it! I'm going to share". I know it takes a long time to change a city and Ensenada seems focused on doing such a thing. Hopefully the improvements will continue and the bay is next on the list. Thank you all for your comments. J

Thats funny, oh yeah, and a cool pic. I was thinking that Poser could actually fall under the "Social Issues" category. I guess its good that people (men mostly I believe) can create the chick of their dreams now, but it's truly tiresome to view over and over. Yes, I have issues...

OK, I'm a little slow. When I first saw this on the "whats new" area I thought "what the hell, this guy is a little twisted". I just caught on to the challenge and Social Issue thing and hey, I get it! It really is a great photo. The color and lighting are purfect. The scene, heavy. Those do look like hollow points to me. J

Hey, how did you get in there? I don't see an open door. Just kidding. I think these are really great and do tell quite a story. I wonder if the "restoration" will eventually leave things just a little better than they were in the beginning. Guilt tends to cause that resolution. Makes everyone feel better in the end. J
