And I'm hoping to get a 10002 key keyboard for Christmas. :-D
Â
Cool... i've been reading up on that very keyboard:
*"10002 key keyboard uses the Datagram Protocol, a communications protocol for the Internet network layer, transport layer, and session layer. This protocol when used over the 10002 key keyboard makes possible the transmission of a datagram message from one computer to an application running in another computer. Like TCP (Transmission Control Protocol), UDP is used with IP (the Internet Protocol) but unlike TCP on the 10002 key keyboard , the 10002 key keyboard is connectionless and does not guarantee reliable communication; it's up to the application that received the message on the  10002 key keyboard to process any errors and verify correct delivery."
*...Sounds like a good bye to me....... Good bye!

P.S. Anybody know what an "optical 8-camera Vicon Motion Capture facility" - might be when it's at home?
Â
Not sure about that one, but it sure sounds like a device that is capable of those 'Matrix' style shots.

Thanks for taking part... no really!Â
A real thanks to the rest of you guys, nice to know there is a working community here, was starting to think it was a bit shallow since I don't see many Bryce art... well moreso for Vue, which is why I asked the question. It's a fact that Vue can do more than Bryce, but I like Bryce, and I hope version 7 comes up with the goods Vue users are so good at rubbing our faces in about.
Keep em coming...... ;-)

Of course this is a way of determining how long your render will take and how much room it will take up........ experience.
But I hear yer loud and clear, it is something that should have been incorporated in the software.

Yeah that'll be it, overheating for sure. If your motherboard has a temperature utility that can display the temp in a little icon in your tray, maybe then you can see when it starts to get too hot.
As dvlenk6 suggests, could be a fan problem or dust, so it looks like you'll have to take the side of your case and check it out.
Best of luck with that.

I'm afraid the more objects you use the bigger the scene size. It would be worth testing how the file size expands, check the file size after adding things to your scene each time.
I suspect however that you have so many objects that the 2Gb size is correct.
Unfortunatly, Bryce scene do take up a lot of space, especialy if you are using a lot of trees. If you are using a lot of trees and they are placed in the distance in the scene, then you could use 2d trees instead.
Hope that is of some help to you.

The only thing I can do is lower the steps part below ground level and use another flatter terrain in the same area and combine them.
Thanks anyway.
Edit: Just have to share this..... I've just worked out how to align objects like trees and rocks on uneven terrains, by clicking on the arrow button underneath the edit button LOL. Talk about a complete idiot, I was doing them all manually. :-D
