I agree, the combination of the refraction and fake fresnel will give you good looking liquid. You should be able to get some good effects from the lamp above where it casts colours onto the table and players. In the render options there is a "light through transparency" option that you will also want to turn on.

For the lighting I can recommend the excellent book - [digital] Lighting & Rendering by Jeremy Birn On the liquid, have you also tried experimenting with the refraction (see the green water shader for an example). I( believe you need to turn on full raytracing for this to work correctly.

Thanks, I'd guessed there would be a problem with the hot point which is why I'd gone for a cam based approach rather than rotation. The evaluation order I'd never have guessed... Here it is with the spot moving.

Just got an email back from Eovia Technical support and although they were not willing to give a definate "thumbs up" they mentioned that some people had got this to work. The important thing appears to be to install Transposer after installing Poser.

I had been thinking along similar lines myself but was hoping that there might be a way of linking it all together. Currently all of the behaviour of the unicycle is controlled by a single parameter. I just change the "motor" and the rest of the behaviour is linked in. I suppose I will just have to animate the rope by hand to match the cycle. Your example will be of great help.

The editor appears to draw the shape on a different side to the one I want. Here is an example where I have tried to draw a polygon on a pentagonal block. I have managed to get things to co-operate today so I may just rebuild the van from scratch to see if that helps. The motivation to use the spline and not a vertex object is that I will be animating this and want to keep everything as clean and simple as possible. Thats one of the reasons I am mapping the textures rather than building them into the geometry. Cheers everyone

Yes, only information that is already in the file is displayed. I was thinking along the lines of a summary of number of shader,lights,objects etc. Depends what I can extract really.

Yes, the cognito plug in sorted out both the wheel synchronisation and the movement via a "rack"

The fix for this problem is to delete the Carrara.ini file then restart the application. If I ever manage to reproduce the issue I'll send a screenshot.
