I always just export mine from UF as a bitmap. I think someone once told me that rendering them to disk takes a long time or summit... Maybe someone who's more up on UF can answer this... Matt.

A quick tutorial showing how I go about starting to make a flame in Apophysis.Matt.
Thread: Apo Help | Forum: Fractals
I've been working on a tutorial for creating flames in Apophysis for a couple of weeks. It shows you how to go about creating flames by hand without relying on random batches, mutations or scripts (I never use them). I will post it if I ever get around to finishing it... Matt.
Thread: Talentless cowards. | Forum: Fractals
Don't let the bastards get you down, Angie. I know what you're going through because the same thing happened to me a few months ago. It ended up with me deleting all the images in my gallery and leaving the site for a while (actually I was posting anonymously under a different name, JohnnyNemo for anyone that's interested). It was only when a friend talked me into coming back that I decided to try and post again under this name. Some people might say it's karma and what goes around comes around because of some things i've said in the past, but at least I have the balls to stand up and be recognized. Only cowards use anonymity as a weapon to get at others. If you haven't got the bollocks to stand up and say it in front of everyone and show them who you are then you need to STFU! Don't let this coward stop you from posting on Renderosity, Angie. There are people like this everywhere, and if you give in to them then they have won. With every image I upload to Renderosity, I pray these people are watching and I hope it annoys the hell out of them that i'm still here...:O) Matt.
Thread: artists names in the fractal contest | Forum: Fractals
Since most people put their name directly on their images I don't see what difference this will make... Unless you adhere to a rule of not accepting any image that has been tagged?

The only fractal program i've used for the last year is Apophysis and i'm still addicted to it. Matt.

Looks like the Sinedot plug-in for Photoshop to me. Try here... http://www.philipp-spoeth.de/Photoshop/Sinedots/sinedots.html Matt.
Thread: So...what is the real problem here? | Forum: Fractals
Damn, i'll never get away from here at this rate...LOL I totally agree with the above comments as well. It's been a while (about 2 years) since i've been to an Art Gallery. While I was there I don't remember seeing pieces of paper and pens under each painting for people to write comments on...There were no little boxes to tick under 'Excellent', 'Good' and 'Crap'. There was also no one standing at the exit taking polls on who I thought was the best artist... Maybe this is a missed opportunity for Art Galleries everywhere? Maybe they can increase the number of 'hits' on old masters paintings by adding a bit of interactivity to the whole process? After all we're in the middle of a revolution...Video Mobile Phones, Interactive Digital Television, Broadband Internet Access, etc, etc...Why would anyone want to actually get up out of their chair, go outside their house and visit an Art Gallery? Maybe Art Galleries everywhere should take a leaf out of Renderosity's book and follow suit...? Or maybe not...
Thread: So...what is the real problem here? | Forum: Fractals
I agree with all of the above... There are good and bad things about this site. Each person has to weigh them up and decide for themselves how much they can put up with. I just got to the point where the bad things outweighed the good and knew it was time to go. One thing I will add is that if someone does decide to leave then respect their decision. Attacking them just because you feel they have let you or the rest of the community down is not a nice thing to do. They obviously have reasons for doing it and you may not know what they are...Also, you never know if you may want to leave sometime. How would you want to be treated? Thank you very much to everyone that ever said anything nice about any of my images. Over and out... Matt.
Thread: Same problem... | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Thread: Unfriendly | Forum: Fractals
Is this thread ever going to stop?!? I can't believe it's gone on this long... Ok, my last thoughts on the whole thing are... 1. On the religious tangent that has cropped up...I'm not a religious person myself but I respect other peoples beliefs. If they choose not to look at certain images then that is their right and I have no problem with that at all. 2. On my original posting in this thread...It was simply my way of trying to put across that sometimes saying nothing is the best thing. In Fractal_Freak's original posting she appears to have a go at everyone that "didn't" comment on her image as well as those that did. So, I responded by telling her exactly what happened when I looked at it...It may be slightly crude but it also happens to be the truth. Would she rather have that or silence? 3. On the image in question...It says underneath the image "I would love to hear comments". It doesn't say "I would love to hear GOOD comments that pander to my self-image of greatness". There is a lesson for everyone here...Be careful what you ask for, you may just get it. Matt.

You want someone to give you a reason to stay, Lisa? OK, I will... I like you, you've got balls bigger than King Kong and you make me laugh! So please stay... And no, this isn't a joke... Matt.
Thread: Unfriendly | Forum: Fractals
In response to fraktal_freak's comment about no-one else commenting on the image... I must say that I was going to comment on it. I looked at the image for several minutes trying to find something appropriate to say. Unfortunately, I started to get mental images of thorny branches being inserted into my ass... At which point I left without saying anything... Hope this is a valid excuse for not commenting?
