You scored with the 'languid sensual feeling' IMHO. The woman looks really well done. Question: How much time did this image take? Break it down by program, please. Just curious.

The texture for the block is from a Bucket found on the Net. Both block and bucket are on the same site (I don't have the info handy.) I often re-use textures for things they weren't meant for. Why re-invent the wheel? And boy oh boy can I mix 'n match! I have yet to create a texture or mesh myself. With so much great stuff out there it is a bit humbling. And shouldn't SOMEBODY use all that great stuff? Yeah, Otto the Headsman doesn't like much. I tried to make him smile but it broke his face ;)

Thanx! I'm gonna deliberately keep it very simple and short, just a rotating gallery. And I'll check those images again. ;]

Thread: OK a comparison render. Victoria vs P4NF (flames welcome) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Maybe it's my monitor, maybe it's my eyes, maybe it's my judgement, but the P4NF looks overall better to me. 'Kay, Millie's got her good points, but for an overall figure I like the P4NF (granted, I don't have Millie, so I'm only judging from this render.) Hey, I'd love to be proven wrong. But this won't do it for me, I still reserve final judgement.

I suppose you were going for the 'freckled' look. The hair is great, and the general face structure, but up close the freckles don't quite make it. Looks like ... smallpox? A rash? (IMHO) BTW, the lashes also look real good. Ditto the furrowed brow stuff.
Thread: Animation, Motion Capturing, Whatever | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I assume you want to composite the image. Poser is good for this. Making a Poser animation is no small task, especially if you need realistic motions. Some vendors have motion files ready-made, and some will do a custom job for your needs. Expect to spend money. DIY is do-able, but very time-consuming. Poser is good for figures, Bryce is good for terrains. And the links on the right have lots of resources and ideas.
Thread: WIP: Feedback please? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
To the contrary! I think the shadows should be more soft-edged, less sharp, especially close to the light source, then getting progressively fuzzier the further out they are. Ambient lighting. Tough nut, there. Keep working it. Camera: in general, the lower the camera angle, the more dramatic the shot. Average horizon line is nipple-high. Arrangement/Composition: If the objects are immoveable, minor changes in camera placement/angle can make a big difference. Lighting is esp. key. In short, save a good base position, then do alot of experimentation. Really good lighting is my personal demon. Let us see the finished image!

Thread: Would you buy this figure? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This model is smooooth. However, I probably wouldn't pay for it since I basically stick to air-breathers ;) Unless I really wanted to do a undersea scene I wouldn't get it (this from a man whose Poser directory is almost 3G) I've had great results (IMHO) with the freely available stuff, thank you very much, and a solitary sea denizen doesn't do it for me. No offense intended. Now if you bundled a multi-morph horse with harness and oxen and mules and such, that might get my $60 -to- $75 out of my wallet. Sorry if it sounds like more work (evil grin!) but this is me being honest.

V-e-r-y nice, very ... royal. I can hear 'Pomp and Circumstance' very faintly... Three cheers!

This looks real good. About the only improvement I can think of is better eyeballs to go with the better rez mug. And, I don't know, less gloss to the lips? Oh yeah, the typical Poser nostril-headlights. Really good, plz post this one when done!

I musta erased it. It is that standard 8 or so color bars across your TV screen, with a band of black below. In that band of black (inline with one of the columns above) is a section of 3 tones of black. Adjust your gamma so you can see that, then adjust your color tones so they look right to you. Short of a proper bench-test and calibration, this'll do quite well. It is on Adobe Premiere's CD, now I hafta go find it.

Calibrate your monitor with good ol' bars and tone. If need be I can post 'B&T' with instructions. Then you know that what you are seeing is what is intended.
