Hehe..."fractal"....don't that sound like some plasmic germ about to plague...or like some utouchable body part with a segmentation...of course it also echoes like frolic and froth...thank you Benoit B. Mandelbrot for an interesting term that became quite a creative passion.

Man oh man...I really wish that this had been done eons ago, be a lot less scars all over among many folks, shame it's not retro-active in some cases...I don't mean that in a bad sense so please don't get me wrong whatsoever. I am just glad "teeth" are finally added to maintain professional values that we really do need here as a community, let's hope it works the right way all around. Cheers ;-)

Thanks Alpha....I meant no offense...I think you know that ;-) To tell you the truth, photography was one of my major courses in college, dark room and all, way back when, I personally believe it is an incredibly "important" element to an artist as an invaluable tool of learning, and an enormous inspirational value as well. All art is visual, even written art, for even a writer attempts to stir an imaginary vision of what they scribe...photography seems to be highly under rated of late, unfortunatly, these days...I think, and I believe this may be due to computers and their softwares taking the limelight...but never underestimate someone that CAN take a picture that can move mountains or someone that can create awsome wonders with darkroom manipulations because that is just as much an art as any painting or rendering....it all takes imagination, and art really is imagination and how well you can portray what you imagine with whatever medium(s) you may use. Cheers.....and Happy New Year!

Hi; Hehehe... Finally realizing that the "animals" of poser don't quite even come close to all the realism that the "people" of poser have been endowed with...eh ;-) You think the horse is bad, take a gander at the Lion, what a laugh, and even the basic Dog and Cat is a royal riot if your looking for photo realism for animal Doctors...hehehe. Might explain why we do see so few zoological wonders in the galleries and most everything is based on the "people" of poser ;-) I really don't think Meta had meant for poser to be as much as what all these communities have made of it over time. I think the "basics" of the program are quite obvious, it "was" meant as a tool to "start" out with, and because of the large mass following and realization of the potential this software provided in basic structure, Daz and all the many talented folks among these communities have managed to make this poser and it's affiliates into a "wonder box of imaginary delights" that do become very "real." Slowly it is being applied to much more than just the people, and eventually maybe we may have much more focus on the rest of the animal species as well as just the basic few,...Daio, Bloodsong, Debra Ross just to name a few, have done wonders in this area. Very commendable and it is when one see's a "basic" rendering as you have posted here, (no offense cause your pose is pretty good), we can really see how far this has all been taken over time... A toast to the marvels and talents of these communities that have brought poser such a loooong, loooooong ways ;-) Cheers and Happy New Year.

I suppose your right in a way...however, every place serves some purpose to some...the C&D is a great place to vent frustration if anything and if it weren't there, folks like ME would be places like right here a heck of a lot more....can you imagine...?? Boo! Cheers ;-)

Hi igohigh; Yes, can be done in photoshop, and I am obviously a little late here as the tutorial above will most likely suffice quite nicely, however, just as a hint; you could use the lasso tool, layering and beveling to get all those things your looking for. It's time staking, but what isn't...;-) Cheers.
