Quote - The current version of Poser Pro does not do indirect light / global illumination.
What a crock! I thought Poser Pro was supposed to be the "be all end all" of features. Do you know where I could find a tutorial for faking indirect lighting? Not that I'd do it all the time, but I think it would be interesting to try out based on what I've seen from the results I've seen here.

Do you think this would work with Poser Pro? I really like the lighting that I have seen so far in the forum.
Thread: Question about working between Photoshop CS3 and CS4. | Forum: Photoshop
Thanks Scott. I tried the regular .psd format along with the "Maximize Compatibility" option. It still didn't work. I'm not sure why because this hasn't happened in previous versions such as when I worked with CS2 and took the file home to work with version 7. Do you think maybe I should try the .psb file option? I'm not even sure what that file was used for, maybe really early versions of Photoshop. Any other suggestions?
One thing I can think of is maybe I should download the latest updates to CS3, because I haven't downloaded any since CS4 was released.

replicand: The thing that I dislike about Autodesk's 2009 programs is that you now have a 13 month contract for their programs. Meaning that at the end of that 13 months you either have to repay for another 13 months or upgrade to their newest version. That's why I bought the 2008 version of Maya before Autodesk implemented that policy, because I don't want them telling me when I have to upgrade or when my software isn't good anymore.

ice-boy & ghonma: Thanks for the input. No I didn't know that Daz Studio would allow you to export your characters pre-rigged. Very interesting, I may just have to try out that free program from Daz

igohigh: Thanks for the further explanation of my question. Now I'm not so sure about an upgrade to version 7 because “e-frontier feels that is wrong” for me to render a certain way. Version 6 is working fine for me right now anyway. -James

Yeah I really like Kozaburo's hair too. It just seems like he may be done with the free hair thing, because I haven't seen him upload any new ones recently. -James

Try out a program called Quidam made from a company called http://www.n-sided.com/ I just downloaded the demo of it but I haven't got a chance to try it out yet. If you want to see some of the awesome outcomes of this program check out one of my favorite artist’s named Franz (his username is FS) here's a link to his gallery http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/browse.php?user_id=13356 most of his newest work has been of characters he's made with Quidam. He even did a tutorial on how to use the program http://www.renderosity.com/mod/tutorial/index.php?tutorial_id=1614&page=1 I think one of the coolest things about Quidam is that you can import characters such as V3 and V4 and you can edit and make your own morphs. Which I don't think you're able to do with Daz characters in Face Shop. I hope this was helpful.
Cheers,
James

Quote - Is there a reason for one to get this over photoshop?
I own Photoshop 7 but I just thought it was pretty interesting how the brushes worked. I think another plus is that you don't have to make your own brushes or buy brushes because this one has them already designed to work with foliage, hair, and etc.
